Nike’s “Designs That Changed The Game” series continues today with the Nike Zoom Kobe IV, which brought the low-top hoop silhouette to mainstream basketball. As Nike describes, “Kobe, a fan of the “beautiful game,” global football, noticed how athletes in a sport that stopped and started as abruptly as basketball weren’t asking for high top shoes. In fact, some of the world’s greatest goal scorers opt for the most minimal boots that can be designed.” For more on the Kobe IV from Nike—which is revisiting its most iconic Nike Basketball shoes of the past 20 years this summer—click here.
