Maryland ‘Black Ops’ Uniforms, Kicks Unveiled (PHOTOS)

Terps take on No. 1 Duke tomorrow in new head-to-toe uniforms.

Another game, another jersey for the Maryland basketball team. This time, it’s called “Black Ops,” after the insanely popular Call of Duty video game. The Terps will debut their new threads and kicks in Durham, NC, as they take on the No. 1 team in the nation.

As the press release reads:

This is more than just a uniform…it is Maryland heritage on the hardwood built for speed, stealth, and of course, Maryland Pride.

The Terps’ new ArmourLight uniforms help them take it to the next level with the lightest threads in the game making the Terps faster than ever. The custom black ops design is a subtle nod to Maryland Pride that took inspiration from military black ops.

The team’s UA Spine Bionic, UA Charge BB, and UA Micro G Torch kicks continue the black ops design with embossed Maryland flag details and taxi and black ticker-tape lacing.

I’m a Duke fan but I don’t see how we can compete with these uniforms. Seriously bad ass.

The Shock Exchange has a feeling Maryland Basketball will become the next Oregon Football – the “cool team.” The uniforms will raise their profile, then come the blue chippers, then the wins.

the shock exchange is a little late on that assertion. this is nike in oregon vs. under amour in maryland in a game of fancy dress.

Those teams change outfits more than Diana Ross.

Its crazy how a schools uniform has become such a bug piece of college sports. I’m sure Oregon lands a large portion of their recruits largely based off their Nike connect.
