adidas DRose 3.5 ‘Chi-Town’ (KICKS)

The all-Chicago edition drops February 28.

Derrick Rose’s latest signature sneaker has seen its share of colorways, all in their own way, odes to the city of Chi. The latest edition of the DRose 3.5—”Chi-Town”—is the most Windy City of them all, with every element representing the hard-working city. “Everybody in this city is so proud to be from here, man,” Rose says. “That’s why I love this color of my shoe that me and my fans can wear to represent the city.”

More from adidas Basketball:

Dubbed “Chi-Town,” the colorway represents the iconic Flag of Chicago with amplified versions of its traditional colors.

“I’ve been all over the world but Chicago will always be my home,” said Rose. “Everybody in this city is so proud to be from here, man. That’s why I love this color of my shoe that me and my fans can wear to represent the city.”

The teal, synthetic leather upper features a rugged pattern to represent the hard working city. The glitter finish represents the trophies and accolades Derrick earned during his high school career in Chicago which includes two Illinois Class AA State Championships, McDonald’s All-American honors and Illinois Mr. Basketball.

The D Rose 3.5 “Chi-Town” drops February 28 for $160, and is available at adidas Basketball.

Adidas should wait for the .5 edition of Rose’s shoes until the playoffs. Or at least until the All-Star Break. He only wears the regular edition for a month and a half before the .5′s come out. Give people time to get into the shoes.

Derrick Rose is a great player, but adidas suck! they do not know how to make the right kicks for this man…they might be paying him a lot of money, but they keep making some of the ugliest sneakers for d.rose. Under Armour make better sneakers for B.Jennings if you ask me, and D.wade kicks look better too…Adidas do archieve to make some of the world lighest kicks as well as uniforms. I just wonder what would it be like to see D.rose wearing some Hyperdunks or some Under Armour sneaks. Josh Smith Adidas are the only ones that look very decent, but that is where it all stops.
