adidas D Howard 4 ‘Yellow-Gold-Blue’ (KICKS)

Dwight Howard’s new signature shoe drops on November 1.

Today, adidas unveils a detailed look at Dwight Howard’s upcoming adidas D Howard 4 signature shoe in a yellow-gold-blue colorway. Howard debuted the model in Lakers colorways during last season’s Playoffs. Click through the images and sketches of the all-new sneaker in the gallery above, and check out the shoe’s details below:

Built for speed and power, the D Howard 4 features a comfortable and supportive upper combined with Crazyquick technology elements in the outsole.

The spiral wave design on the shoe’s upper is inspired by Dwight’s playing style and how he circles the paint protecting the rim by blocking shots and grabbing rebounds. The bright color palette of this Yellow-Gold-Blue colorway was selected to match Dwight’s personality while the tongue and three-stripes branding both feature a chrome treatment to stand out on the court.

You can catch Dwight wearing this Yellow-Gold-Blue colorway of the D Howard 4 as he tours Asia during Dwight Howard Tour taking place August 16-26 in Seoul, South Korea; Taipei, Taiwan; Hong Kong and Hangzhou, Chengdu and Beijing, China.

I despise Howard, but this shoe is undeniable, haha

  • spit hot fiyah

    yellow-gold-blue = mostly red

  • LP @ThisisEther

these look just like the Rose 773s…. whats going on, Adidas?

  • spit hot fiyah

same sole, everything else is different

  • Dfrance

Not really. They have the same sole, but thats about it.

  • Dfrance

I like the design, hate the fruity pebbles colorway tho.

  • 23

Imo they look more like the adidas Crazy Quick

  • Evan Boland

Meh, I prefer Nike’s signature kicks over Adidas and Jordan

  • JibbsIsBallin

Far too nice of a shoe for a below average player.

  • robb

    clown shoes, how appropriate

  • JibbsIsBallin

I think the purpose of the colors is to embrace all the teams he has played for and mainly disappointed.

  • Max

Because Dwight is definitely a below average player.. lol

  • Dfrance

No, these are the Jason Collins PEs.

  • obo

looks like adidas wasnt sure which team dwight was going to be on when the shoes come out so they decieded to use all the colors of the rainbow…

  • Shawn

    Yo that’s hilarious

  • bike

Well he is below average from a skill standpoint. He is above average in the athleticism department, but as a player he would have been eaten up 20 years ago. You seen any of those Hardwood classic games on NBATV? Worthy and McHale would have had him fouled out half way through the 2nd quarter easy.

  • lola

So tell me these don’t kinda look like Rose ‘s shoes tf

  • Dfrance

    Somebody sees me! Lol

  • bringbackthesonics

“The bright color palette of this Yellow-Gold-Blue colorway was selected to match Dwight’s personality” – i wonder what color matches his indecisiveness?

  • Caboose

Oh come on. Give the multiple (and well deserved) DPOY credit.

  • Caboose

At the risk of sounding like an old man, I REALLY hate the way today’s shoes are trending. What happened to minimalist yet sleek design in slick colors? Now, it seems every major shoe strives for being the absolute loudest with no regard for actual design. You used to be able to wear some cashal basketball shoes with jeans and a sport coat or button down. No chance anymore. Rant over. Insult me now.

  • ATL dynamite

    Mindcraft colourway? Lol

  • Dfrance

Get with the times grandpa, these DHowards are gonna go great with my cheetah print sleeved crewneck and ripped thigh skinny jeans!

  • JL

LOL they have those covered with the retro releases.

  • JL

    Because that’s a fact. Sure….
