Jeremy Lin Reportedly Leaving Nike for adidas

Houston Rockets point guard Jeremy Lin is moving on from the Swoosh to the Three Stripes, according to CSNNW:

The source spoke on condition of anonymity due to adidas having yet to have made an official announcement on the agreement. According to the source, the announcement will come on Friday.

The signing of Lin only increases adidas’ global brand.

Lin, 25, is averaging 14.1 points, 2.6 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 24 appearances this season.

Idk, I feel like its every ballers dream to have a Nike deal, but they’ve lost some pretty big names over the years. Do they just not pay people?

Being with Nike, unless you’re a superstar, probably feels like being a small fish in a big pond.

Mo yen mo murda. Good move for Adi and Lin

I feel weird sometimes, but my favorite shoe designs ever were the Nike’s and Adidas shoes in the late 70′s/early 80′s. I’m sure they destroyed many feet, backs, hips, etc. but they were so simple and clean. Like the Superstars, Terminators, Dunk Hi’s, AF1′s; they look aesthetically pleasing more so than shoes today for me

i feel you. i think the shoes nowadays focus more on the technology, THEN the design (that has to incorporate that technology). because of that, the designs aren’t very unique

Agree 100%. All of the shoes today look like astronaut boots, with lots of terrible designs. I miss the simple, clean designs of the 80s. The Adidas designs of today are a bit better than the Nikes, IMO.

If he’s getting his own signatures then sure.

    Exactly.

He should sign with Li Ning. There would be some cool advertising ideas using both Lin and Li Ning

I mean, everyone is not going to get a signature shoe, but Lin, Harden, Rudy Gay, they all get little logos and special colorways etc. What do you really need from them?

  • The Mauve Avenger

    No Li-Ning Lins? Shame.

  • mhm

ahhh, I see what you did there

  • King David

i guess his goal is to have a torn ACL wearing those bum asss Adidas

  • Vince Gully

Haha yeah. All these exotic, neon-color colorways are probably just another way for Nike and Adidas to make more money. What really drives me crazy is when players rock neon colored shoes when they don’t match their uniforms AT ALL.
