I was in love with the Jordan 13. I flew to Chicago and slept outside the store in the cold for 2 days to get it first. This shoe was HOT!. I only wore it on the court for one season(best season of my life). This shoe was my life. I slept with it the first day I bought it. I was so in love with it I used to wake up early in the morning to look at it!. I wouldn’t trade this shoe for anything. Its the best shoe ever and I can say I bought it first.

I remember always coming home with foot injuries. I didn’t wanted to ask mom for expensive shoes because I knew she would say no. But than it happened. Stephon Marbury put out his own shoes for $15. It was affordable and comfortable and hot. I was able to play basketball properly with everyone and I could play with confidence. I felt this shoe was better than the LeBrons or Jordans because it was just as nice and comfortable but way more affordable. I bought it and have been crossing dudes up since. Thank you Stephon.

The year was 1985 (yeah, I’m that old) and I was going into 9th grade. My first year in high-school and I was horrified. But I knew if I rocked a real dope pair of kicks, things would be alot easier- Enter the white on white AJI’s. I BEGGED my Mom for these. Begged and pleaded actually. In 1985, a pair of Air Jordan I’s was $60 at my local sneaker store in Quincy, Ma. I wouldn’t say we were poor, but we definitely were not “well off”. My Mom caved and bought me the kicks (thx Ma!) and I LOVED them! AJI’s-my fave purchase of all time.

One of my favourite shoes purchases was when i bought my first basketball shoes. These And 1′s were given to me by my grandpa. They shoes meant a lot because they were given from a special person, they were my first basketball shoes, and because i know he had to put in a lot of money to get these shoes. I wore these shoes everywhere and everyone though t there were amazing and till this day I keep em safe and remember the time i got them. They inspired me to play ball and enjoy it.

I remember skipping school and missing my Chemistry final so I could buy the Jordan 13. I ended up failing chemistry class but it was worth it because I was the last person to getta rare size 15. It was amazing, easily the greatest shoe ever. From the toe to the tounge, the laces to the bottom there wasn’t one flaw on this shoe. Super comfortable to ball in. These shoes are the reason I had to go to summerschool for 2 months, it sucked. But through all those hard summerschool days it took just one look at these to cheer me up.

It was the very first basketball shoe I bought. It was beautiful. I knew I had to get it the second I saw it. Lace loops spelling REEBOK. Amazing! cushioning. The suede toe. The number 3 on the back. That shoe give me chills down my spine!. The Reebok Questions were the sexiest shoe ever. A young AI straight out of Georgetown inspired me to play basketball and his kicks made me want to play it even more. The Questions are one of the greatest shoes ever and just like Iverson these wont ever get played out.

My favorite shoe purchase wasn’t even of a basketball shoe. I’ve always grown up off Payless and Costco shoes because my family couldn’t afford anything nicer. Since I always grew up that way, I didn’t know for a long time that there were other fancier shoes out there. I remember being so shocked when my friend bought the new Jordans and told me how much they cost ($80 back then, I believe). So when I got my first job in high school and finally got enough money, the first thing I bought was a nice pair of Puma suedes. I loved them because they actually cost more than 20 dollars and looked good, too. I don’t indulge in shoes, and $65 is still the max I’ve ever spent on shoes, but I still remember those Pumas being the first pair of shoes that I bought on my own.

My favorite shoe purchase of all time was the Air Jordan 1 Retro Olympics edition. Man, those are amazing. I’ve always been a fan of MJ since I was a little kid. And those were my first Jordan shoes so they were really special to me. I wore them to school and people always used to complement my shoes. That was a good feeling! That year I also made the basketball team. It was a great year!

the greatest moment for me was in 1991 when the air jordan vi white/ infrared’s came out. i had to cut about 100 yards it seemed like, to save the money to get’em. i wanted them so bad, you know that feeling you get when your young and your on your way to disneyland, that tiggling feeling. well that’s the way i was on the way to footlocker @ the mall, and as i put them on my feet they felt perfect, looked in the mirror (the one that use to be connected to the seat) and couldn’t wait to go home and open the box 100 times to smell that “new shoe smell”.

CAN you guys POST who won here at the end of the day please? Its cool to read the winners entry. Thanks

Scanning your comments, I think most of us real sneakerheads, dig the 13s. There’s no point arguing further.

I was thinking exactly what ave. joe said…looks exactly like the wal-mart jodann brand or wutever the fu(k they call fake jordans.. lol

Nike Air Zoom Huarache Elite II TB in varsity royal. Probably my favorite basketball shoe I have ever played in, these shoes were the lightest, most-comfortable, and best-supporting shoes I had ever worn. Plus, their futuristic look was sick. And to top it all off, they were the first shoes I ever bought with my own cold, hard cash. I got them to commemorate my first year on my varsity team. Great decision.

Had to be the orange/black wade 1′s. I was in 5th grade, and I kept seeing D wade’s new converse shoe at the mall. I was bugging my mom for some, since I never had a legit pair before, even though I had fallen in love with the game way before. She let me get some, then I soon fell into the sneaker game too. It started off my sneaker collection, which is now huge, and I realized how iconic kicks were in the world of basketball. Ever since then, I’ve been afraid of creasing my kicks.

My favorite shoe purchase of all time was my first basketball shoe purchase of all time. It was a pair of fresh t-macs, a player i had looked up to all my life. I loved his game and when I bought those shoes and wore them for the firs time I felt like I was him and that I could reproduce what he did on the floor. I’ll never forget the t-macs that inspired me to be a player.

  • Carter Whyte

The Nike air sharkley I bought them myself for my freshman year of highschool to play in. Those are probably my favorite shoes because I bought them myself and wore them my whole season for my jv season I cherished them and still keep them in my closet they were probably the best part of my freshman year of highschool.

hahaha @ Shootah. Failed a course to get them shoes! Can’t tell if that’s a joke but I laughed anyways

  • Mike

I don’t think you have to spend a lot of money on a pair of shoes like a lot of people have on here. I don’t even the need the newest model, just give me the adidias samba and I will wear them out. I’ll just buy another pair every year or two and save myself a lot of dough in the process. Why mess with perfection? I’ll never understand why everyone doesn’t have at least one pair of sambas.

for me its the nike lebron IIs. i dunked for the first and ONLY time ever in my life during an aau game. i always tried during practice but could never do it, always thought i could get high enough, just couldnt palm the ball. so i got on a fast break pretty much by myself and just went for it and it went down. hard. it was awesome, cause i always dreamed of dunking, and it finally came true. never been able to do it again

Im not gonna tell a story, but i’ll say a few words about the Hollowed ground because im a sneaker collector and i have a love kicks that no one in my family could understand why eversince i was growning up,now the design of these sneakers are not as bad as people have made them out to be,i think Brand Jordan could make these more appealing to cosumers if they bring out the right colors,im a street ball player out here in The Bahamas and comfort really matters but when you have the right colour sneaker that changes everything,i say release these in black/red,and then a all black nubuck which is always good, anyway holla back SLAM

Purple and black air jordan 8′s. They were my first pair of air jordan’s. They took over four weeks to arrive. They were sent to the wrong address, and by the time i finally got them the box was destroyed, but the shoes were in perfect condition.

  • Pardeep

I remember walking into the store and getting this weird feeling when I saw the Melo 1.5′s. It was like when you see that beautiful girl and you want to ask her out. They were so nice I was actually scared to buy them. The baby blue and white colorway with that sick tounge and a dope toe, even the laces and bottom parts of the shoe were HOT!. This was the shoe all the girls loved and all the guys wanted. Ive been rocking them every game ever since then. They aint ever touch the road and never will.

favorite shoe purchase of all time is no doubt the kg bounce allstar edition 07. fell in love with the all white colorway when it first hit the philippines. it retailed for the equivalent of about $160. that is an insane amount for a pair of shoes considering the average daily spending there. then adidas released the all star edition packs. (kg,gil,td,tmac, chauncey). hands down kg’s were the finest. about 6 months later my girlfriend found an outlet store where they had size 12.5s (i wear 13s which are a extremely hard to find) which were on sale for about $70. she got em for me as my 2nd year anniversary present. to this day she says the look on my face was priceless; full of glee and just couldn’t believe i got em. i still remember that day when i got em; and it brings me right back there to that point in time. just unbelieveably happy. i still rock em to this day. that would end up being the last purchase we’d ever make at that store because about 3 weeks later that building of the mall exploded from a gas leak. sorta became immortalized in a weird way.

The CP3′s in blue and black. I saw the release date on Jordan.com so I went to champs the day it would come out. Turns out that color didnt come out here in canada.(Damn)Anyways I had to get them,( I had saved up for three months, I’m 15). So finally i decided to order them on eastbay.com to my grandmas house in new york cuz i was going to new york. Sure enough the day I got to new york there they were waiting for me. The day after I went ou shopping in new york and I found out that color had not come out in U.S either. So whenever I put them on I feel pretty fly knowing I’m one of the few people in the world whos got them. I’ve had them for two months now and I’m enoing them.

My favorite shoe purchase had to have been recently when i bought the jordan 60plus. I really liked these shoes because they resembled my favorite Air Jordan (the 5s). I waited at footlocker till they opened and i was the first one in that store to buy them in size 10! I am very happy with this shoe purchase and i plan on having many more memorable purchases.

I have owned a lot of cool shoes in my life, but my favorite shoe purchase of all time was when I bought a pair of Jordan XX3′s. There is many reasons why they were my favorite shoe. The designs start from the footprint shapes on the bottom of the shoe. I also like how they made the stitchings look like x’s. I found about these shoes in your kicks section back in ish 125 with Melo & A.I. on the cover. I just knew I had to get these shoes! They looked so unique and I Wanted them so bad. After I saved up enough money, I went to foot locker to buy them. As soon as I got in the car, I put my new shoes on and showed em off to my friends. Even though they were expensive, it was worth it because they just looked so sick! When I played basketball with these shoes on, I felt like I was untouchable. The shoes were really comfortable too. now the shoes are to small, so it would be nice if I could get another pair. That’s why the Jordan XX3′s were my favorite shoes.

  • sideburn2go

My favorite shoe purchase of all time is my Jordan CP’s. Since I started collecting, I have wanted a pair of Jordan’s but I had never been able to afford it. My family couldn’t afford that much money for shoes and I had to put all my money from my job towards other things. When I heard about these shoes I knew they would be sick. Chris Paul is my favorite basketball player and the Jordan brand is a classic. I saved everything I could to be able to get these and have wore them with pride on the hardcourt.

My favorite shoe purchase of all-time was a black pair of British Knights with green “Dymacel Technology.” When the Foot Locker employee informed me that this is the same model worn by Derrick Coleman, I immediately knew that my piggybank savings would need to begin anew.
