Is it just me, or does it seem like there is NO ankle support? I was holding the shoe the other day, that upper ankle part doesn’t really do anything…

Keep in mind, this is a shoe made for Rose, and he always wears those nifty ankle braces when he plays. As someone who plays with ankle braces on both feet, I can tell you how much easier it would be to have LESS material around the ankle area. So I can understand the design. Ugly as hell, but functionality over beauty in this case

Ankle support is there. that heel counter is SOLID and the base is wide and stable. The strap really fits nice and snugs it up.
