Slamadaday: Nate Robinson’s Putback
The little man can.
Celtics fans cheered for Nate Robinson. They don’t cheer for opponents often, especially when an opponent is putting a banger on their defense like this. Whether they cheered out of respect or pity or compassion, fans supported the diminutive guard as if he was their own. No, Boston fans aren’t going soft, they’ve just graduated to that high-class level of fandom. With a record-tying 18-game win streak, fans just wanted to be awed. A win is nearly guarenteed from the get go, so a nice yam from one the best in-game dunkers was like a cool little Maraschino Cherry on top.
