Video: Aubrey Coleman Steps On Chase Budinger’s Face

No laughing matter.

It’s not the sort of wake up call Arizona had in mind, but it effectively spurred the Wildcats to make a comeback from a 12-point deficit. Houston’s Coleman was (obviously) ejected, and a one-game suspension was later issued.

That’s the cheesiest move I’ve ever seen. Total lack of character. That’s a boy move because a man would never do something so stupid and disrespectful.
    Douche. Baggery.

  • http://hoops4life.com overtime

The frozen image at the beginning made me think he was just tripping over and caught his face, but this guy is unbelievable, id suspend him for the season if i could

Arizona still lost though. B!tch move though. Seriously.

  • Kevin

Budinger probably wouldn’t have done nothing about it no way, he would’ve caught feelings and walked slowly away, he got mind control on him though

  • thesubwayconnection

Hursty, the Wildcats won in overtime. And, yes, Budinger seemed to be fine.

if i was bud’s teammate, coleman wouldve caught a two piece a second after.

  • ColdVicious24

Budinger knew he had too much to waste on that chump coleman… Coleman can remember this on his couch at home when he is watching budinger in the nba

Arizona officially lost any heart they had after that. Is B Jennings laughing? At least if he got stepped on he’s getting paid…eventually.

  • Ken

One game suspension? That’s a joke. Dude should be out for the season. What a b1tch move.

  • http://fdklf.com Jukai

I agree with you Ken. Chase shoulda popped that guy.

  • German Reignman

Man, even Bruce Bowen thinks that was dirty … one gam suspension for deliberately stepping on somebodys face ? This suspension is …wow, what to say …. a shame …

  • mike

man these kobe ads around the site are f*ckin annoying with that voice

  • dfrance83

@Zee! You’re a fool… That was a low class move and the thing that made it even worse was him smiling as his teammates dapped him. If the NCAA doesn’t take more action, his school should.

For all who don’t remember, there is precedence for stepping on an opponent’s head. Back in 1992 Christian Laettner hit a last second shot to beat Kentucky in the NCAA tourney. ESPN considers this one of the top plays in NCAA tournament history. What everyone seem to forget is that in that same game Laettner purposely stepped on the head of a fallen African American KU player (Andre Riddick, I think). It was a punk move and the CBS may have replayed it once. Billy Packer was calling the came and there was no outrage, no flagrant foul, no calls for Laettner to be kicked out of the game, suspended or apologize. Not to downplay the incident between Houston and Arizona, but why all the outrage now? ESPN didn’t make a federal case of it back in ’92 so why are they replaying it over and over again now? This kid should get the same punishment Christian Laettner received in ’92, which set the precedence for this behavior.

Old School Baller: The one Laettner stepped on back in the day was Aminu Timberlake…not Riddick.
