Video: Chandler And Przybilla Go At It

Call it what you will, but Tyson Chandler made the wrong decision last night at the Rose Garden in Portland. Halfway through the third quarter, Chandler took a swipe at Joel Przybilla’s broken wrist and proceeded with a tough pound to Przybilla’s chest. After reviewing the film, the refs made the easy cheap shot ejection. Even with Chandler gone, the Hornets went on a 41-21 run in the remaining 18 minutes, annihilating the Blazers.

    Hey, you have a broken wrist dont hang onto the jersey…Chandler would have wrecked him…I am not a Przybilla fan at all..and couldnt you see him doing it if the roles were reversed…

    And all Przybilla was doing was trying to keep track of where Chandler was behind him. Can’t believe a player like Chandler, known for his rebounding ability, got pissed off after such a slight bit of contact.

    dude chandler is a punk anyone who takes a cheap ass shot at an injury needs to have his ass kicked. BTW Joel would have delivered! It was so funny i watched it on TV and in the replay you could clearly hear him say “F*ck You!”

    Joel is probably a left hand puncher. No way he would have done any damage with that hand. That’s why he had an awkward stance when he put his fist up. Pointless. Chandler is only known cuz of the alley oops. Other than that he’s just some guy who let Eddy Curry eat his leftovers.

    There is no way that Joel can fight a stonger looking man with 1 hand. Tyson was clearly wrong for pulling the Karl Malone special on Joel’s hand, and Joel had every right to stand up for himself. looking at their postures and body types though, I think I would take Tyson in a fight, even if Joel had both wings.

    ghostface would whoop on chandler any day of the week. chandler is a lil bi$ch for pulling that move. shame on all you here talking about joel flinching. what’s anybody supposed to do instead of flinching away, lean forward with your face? joel boxes in the offseason. that’s not a flinch because he was scared. that was a dodge move in case chandler was stupid enough to throw a full punch.

    Uh, Tyson just knocked his hand off of him. That happens all the time in the game. I doubt if he even realized it was the injured hand. Joel then hit Tyson with a forearm shiver and Tyson responded in kind. Makes sense to me.

    Wow allen, i’m not sure how how you’d see it that way. Chandler forcefully threw a hand chop down, it wasn’t simply knocking it away like it “happens all the time”. chandler also had his hand up for a few seconds, looking down at the hand, as if counting down until he did it, he was well aware that it was the injured hand.

    as for who should have knocked out who, its useless to guess since ghostface knew he couldn’t start a punching match with only one hand, so he was smart to back up. Tyson is also not clearly stronger, they’re both thin as hell, probably a draw if Prz was healthy.

    I’m not sure what the fuss is about. Players knock hands way all the time. If the player intiating the contact doesn’t want his contact limb smacked away then don’t make the contact. It is not up to the playing being contacted to work around your injurty.

    Further, if you are going to retaliate with a forearm shiver, would you not expect one in return? They both were in the wrong and should have been ejected due to the throwing of forearms.
