Video: Kobe Bryant 2008-09 Highlight Mix

Everything a true leader and teammate should be.

Of the 250+ active players during the NBA’s first night of action in 2009, Kobe Bryant recorded the best individual performance of them all. His 40 points (13-23 FG), 7 boards and 4 assists, 2 thefts and 1 stuff in 38 minutes demonstrated that Kobe has the complete package, even in his 13th NBA season.

Starting the new year with a convincing win against the Utah Jazz, the Lakers look like the most talented team in the League. Kobe’s letting his teammates shine, oftentimes by doing many other things besides scoring. This mix by Navjot depicts a perfect combination of Kobe’s dunks, shots, crossovers, blocks and hustle plays from the 2008-09 season. In this stunning arrangement, we get a sense of how Kobe has become a true teammate in his quest to win another ring.

Actually it was 31 minutes and 6 seconds…

Which makes it even more impressive. I’m looking back at race2MVP on nba.com. And Kobe is 4th right now. Crazyness!!

Very well done video … hopefully the Lakers come out with the best record. Kobe leads the league in scoring and he gets his second MVP!!

Are you kidding me? As a die-hard Laker fan and a longtime Kobe apologist, this is a crappy video. It shows him slamming the ball, shooting some threes and blocking a few shots. I thought this was supposed to show Kobe’s “whole package” how much he’s improved at the other stuff… This is the same old video that we’ve seen a million times.

Great player, possible MVP. But I don’t see how this makes a “true leader” and “everything a teammate should be”. I guess it depends on your definition of leader and teammate.

@James: If you check the NBA.com and ESPN box scores, it’s 38 minutes. Yahoo was incorrect.

he wouldn’t get all this praise without Gasol

  • Jackie Moon Posted: Jan.4 at 5:18 am
    13th season. Dayum.

  • Simon S.Y Lawy Posted: Jan.4 at 10:30 am
@Anton, yes he would, till he retire, he’d be the greatest nba player to ever live after Jordan.

  • Krishan Posted: Jan.4 at 10:47 am
Yes because kobe only got worldwide recognition and major sponsorships IMMEDIATELY AFTER gasol got traded to LA. In other news: Anton attempts growing brain, fails.

  • Anton Posted: Jan.4 at 6:54 pm
I meant “leadership” praise, before he’d put up 40 points and wouldn’t be recognized as the leader

Kobe is the best player after MJ followed by Lebron or Wade.

  • Harold Posted: Jan.26 at 9:27 am
Kobe is the second greatest player in NBA history…period

Really Well Done Video. Very enjoyable. I also have to compliment the music selection. What song is that? It’s pretty epic and awesome.
