Video: Tyrus Thomas Stops King Crab

At least four reasons for Bulls fans to celebrate.

This play initially won Bulls fans’ hearts because of T2′s pure, athletic stuff on LeBron James. But upon further scrutiny, it’s quite easy to see LeBron took about four steps (eight according to Scott Van Pelt) after he picked up his dribble. This time at least, the benefits of James’ ‘Crab Dribble’ didn’t pay off. Tyrus Thomas put a cork on James’ illegal advance to the hoop en route to yesterday’s upset at the United Center. It’s yet another reason to for Bulls fans to rejoice. Now, about that 18-22 record… (via True Hoop)

the “crab dribble” may just be an 8 step travel.

That’s what we call a “Crab Pattie”.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OP4aMOFhm7M&feature=related Crab Dribble at :57 in the video…it was a travel then, too.

it is still retardedly unbelievable how the refs didnt call him in game 3 06. he traveled, switched his pivot, twice, then landed before he put the shot up, AT THE END OF A PLAYOFF GAME. stern and company arent hiding their ambitions for their baby very well.

2 step and a hop step, yes that’s king crab’s move. The only reason T2 got the block was probably because LeBron traveled

The only reason for Bulls fans to celebrate is Derrick Rose. Maybe Andres Nocioni, although I’m bummed he cut his hair.

Holy crap, he ran like Jerry Rice down that lane

  • Will Lee Posted: Jan.16 at 10:13 pm
if the NBA allows that 4 step layup, there’s noone that can stop James

Waiting for Ryan Jones’ comment …

its crazy how much he travels especially on the drive to the basket….it puts the defenders off as well…everyone expects the offensive player to jump after two steps..

    Where superstar calls happen.

yessir T2 is improving this year, and hopefully he and the bulls can improve above .500 this year and make the playoffs

  • BOB Posted: Jan.17 at 9:56 pm
he’ll still be pretty much unstoppable even without that triple jump thing.
plus, in the NBA, people have been getting away with that stuff forever, the fact that y’all make that big a deal of it now is just another proof of how good he is

I am a Lebron fan, but this crab dribble thing has got to stop…….

  • Jackie Moon Posted: Jan.18 at 2:28 am
    Crap dribble

  • jay Posted: Jan.18 at 4:15 am
    I agree with Nasthy.

  • Sesa Posted: Jan.18 at 8:17 am
Other Superstars were able to mask these 4 steps dribble, but LeBron makes it so obvious.

  • ClydeSays Posted: Jan.18 at 10:27 am
Sorry, but the refs have to clamp down on LeCrab’s runs to the hoop. He’s an incredible player, but you can’t give one guy that much of an advantage. If I’m a team facing the Cavs in the playoffs, I’m assembling clips of these runs down the lane and sending them to League.

King Crab. What a great new name.

  • Moose Posted: Jan.18 at 4:16 pm
TRAVEL. And, Sesa, that was obviously a six-step.

I counted five steps from the ball hitting the floor
