NBA Suspends David West One Game

This dude is on the All-Star team? Oh, and New Orleans will be a joy to watch without West, Paul and Chandler for a game or two.

    I agree adams, this is what I have said beffore about the officiating being so inconsistant when it comes to flagrant fouls…but that was dirty…the hornets without 4 starters for a game..ouch..who are they playing?

    Chris Paul was the only thing that made the hornets even remotely watchable. I’d rather see julian wright, limbs flailing, than West’s oh-so consistent midrage j. West is a big puss who likes to act tough.

    I think players who are selected to the All Star and get suspended a week before the event should be forced to withdraw their name from the game and be replaced.

    I don’t like this guy. I want to, even, but I don’t. Everyone is always talking about how quiet and “humble” he and Chris Paul are, yet I’ve seen plenty of things that lead me to believe otherwise. Being quiet doesn’t make you humble, nor does it make you a good guy.

    What I don’t get about it is this: the hornets are far from the team they were last year, David West’s numbers are down, and he barely made the All-Star game last year; yet he gets in again? When both himself and his team are having worse years? That makes no sense to me. I mean, why not Jason Terry, who’s having a career year as the sixth man in Dallas; or Al Jefferson, the Minnesota Beast? Sure, they have both been injured and unable to play in the game had they been selected, but I felt like either one of them deserved the spot more than West.

    that was a pretty dirty hit, right when miller started accelerating. maybe he learned this after horry split dude’s back last year, though that was actually supposedly a screen, this there’s no other explanation.

    West DID get pissed off in the play before when he got stripped (maybe a foul, didn’t look like it though).
    Justified though. Especially the ejection.
