Video: Birdman Gives Rudy A Dome Shot

Welcome to the Bird Show.

As you can expect from the athletic Nuggets and Blazers, a boat load of highlights came out of the nightcap of TNT’s double-header. Be assured, more highlights will hit SLAMTV soon, but this one takes the cake. Between the rejection to Rudy’s face (not merely in Rudy’s face) and the patented Birdman comb of his greased hair, this stuff is as it gets.

That, my friends, is a block.

  • Funkdoc

    He’s a beast. In a bad way.

he’s gotta have the highest number of blocks per 48 mins, (and you left out a word in the final sentence)

  • k.o.

he needs a comb to complete that slick-back

  • Tyler

Dang that block was sweet! But then aldridge threw one down on him.

A speculation of Rudy Fernandez’s thoughts on the matter:

I can see “Spalding” all over Rudy’s dome.

Almost as bad as LeBron’s block into Iverson’s face. AI looked straight up sad.

@Bart king: that was a pretty funny (and good) post.

  • poohbiz

this stuff is as [?] it gets?

I guess everyone is supposed to fill in her/his comparison her/himself, right?

Or is SLAM lost for words, which would be a first…

  • Kozmic

Birdman: That was for takin 13 attempts to do a lame dunk in the dunk contest. That was my thing… (Strokes greasy excuse for hair)

  • clapzilla

I’ve Been Waiting All Season For Someone To Do That To Fernandez. Thank You Birdzulious.

  • Jack

Clap will you stop with the caps at the beginning of every word! I’m not one to complain about punctuation but that ish is driving me insane! Although yet again, I have to agree with what you said.

  • dfrance83

I think the fact that he got straight up slung on by LaMarcus, on the very next possession, after all that posturing was priceless!!!

  • Kent Kanada

    Cah Caw!

We need to remember LaMarcus dunked all over him the very next Blazers possession. Such is the story of Birdman’s life, always being hilariously brought back to the ground after accomplishing anything. This is the guy who actually said “the birdman is about to FLY” in the dunk contest moments before missing his first 5,000 attempts.

  • Jack

Sick. Without a doubt, the best blocker in the league. Who said they were gonna miss Marcus Camby?

    Russ FTW.

The hair reminded me of Pat Riley, somehow
