Video: Jones Scores 8 Points in 11 Seconds
Mark it in the record book.
It was a feat even Jamal Crawford – the king of all four-point possessions — would be proud of. The Heat played behind the Hawks the entire game, but for a brief moment, it seemed like Miami had the momentum it needed to get back into the game. The unlikeliest of heroes, James Jones, completed two four-point plays within 11 seconds to cap the Heat’s 14-0 run in the 2nd quarter. By halftime, the spurt was 19-2.
The Hawks didn’t know what hit them, and the crowd didn’t know who was hitting them. But the American Airlines Arena cheered right on cue anyway. (H/T: BDL)
