Video: Big Baby Saves the Celtics

The Boston Celtics were staring down the prospect of a daunting 3-1 hole against the young, and hungry Orlando Magic last night. Thanks to Glen “Big Baby” Davis, though, the series is headed back to Boston all knotted up.

Davis hit a bunch of big shots in the second half for his team, none certainly bigger than his last of the evening:

    Say whatever you will about the Celtics, but one thing is for sure, they have been the most entertaining team in the playoffs this year. If this goes 7, don’t be surprised if the C’s win. All they have to do is keep the games close and they know they can close better than the Magic. SVG has quickly become the most annoying coach in the league. Players don’t look like they enjoy playing for him at all, with all his emotions on the sideline. COACH THE GAME. You’re not a fan Stan.

    Funny moment: Orlando Sentinel is reporting the Kid’s dad demanding an apology from Big Baby or the C’s: for behaving like “a raging animal with no regard for the fan’s safety”. (Thanks to Sportsguy for that link). Exaggerate much?

    The guy in the background is probably Lionel Collins. He’s the LSU Hall of Fame & the 1st black man to play at that university.

    ESPN did a story on BBD. Collins was a father figure & mentor to Davis.

    BIG FAT LARD BABY slammed a kid after the last shot. Shame on him. If my kid was the one pushed, I would pushed back.

    Darksaber, i saw that on the news that the kids dad did say those things but later spoke to a Florida paper and eased off of his initial claims. He probably called a lawyer and tried to get a case and no one would touch it. lol.

    #1 R Lewis played good recover defense but the shot was up already. #2 The kid didn’t get hit that hard so he pops should never have said anything # 3 Davis did apologize.

    I’d feel like a huge puss if my Dad was aksing for an apology for me getting touched by an NBA player. 14 year old kids who get to be ball boys are usually spoiled little brats anyway, so I guess I’m not surprised.
