Video: Rondo vs Hinrich; NBA to Intervene?

Game 7 of the über-classic Bulls/Celtics is set for Saturday night, but the question remains: Will two of the main players take part in the battle?

Kirk Hinrich and Rajon Rondo got tangled up last night – after Rondo shoved Hinrich into the scorers’ table – and even though both players remained in the game, it’s unclear if the League will take any disciplinary action prior the decisive showdown tomorrow night.

    I definitely see you point, but I’m still gonna wait and see on that one, I think he could be a decent player again soon. Glenn Davis has definitely suprised me though, I never would have thought he’d take advantage of this opportunity as well as he has.

    And vtrobot, there’s a HUGE difference between an errant hand underneath when rebounding (I think it was Tyrus who got PP) and a) a blatant smack in the face and b) throwing someone into the scorer’s table.

    @ vtrobot – What else does he have to do to be labeled a dirty player? If he doesn’t deserve that label yet he’s REALLY close.

    rondo should be suspended, wouldnt u react like that too if someone flung you into the scorers table..Stern screwed the suns over a few years ago with suspensions and all they did was leave the bench..if he doesnt get suspended i will be pissed – yet no suprised because it is stern…and the celtics….LETS GO BULLS!!!!

    They won’t suspend him (officially). Which is horsesh!t but it’ll make for a better game. Celtics fans have no right to kvetch at all this series.

    i mean as much as id loooove to see derrick rose wreck havoc on house and marbury to wrap up the round, after all of the speculation i think that the flagrant was a good enough call.

    Seriously, Rondo looked scared of dude after Hinrich popped back up with that murderous look in his eyes. It’s one thing to have the ref holding you back, but Rondo was backing up so QUICKLY, it looked like Hinrich was chasing his ass. Rondo don’t want it with Captain Kirk.

    Aaaah the inconsistency of Stu Jackson. Dwight elbow = Rondo elbow. Both were thrown , both didnt hit, one gets suspended, one doesnt. Such are the scales of Stu’s justice.

    Rajon got into it with Kobe earlier in the season too. And i hate the Mambiatch, but dude is FIT/CUT. And Rondo still got into an altercation with him. Dude is suicidal if he thinks he can get away with dirty play at his size, especially obvious ones. Watch Stockton tape, Rajon. Learn from the guru of the sneaky dirty play.

    Hinrich could have been seriously hurt over there. Someone wrote the NBA needs game 7 for ratings, I guess that’s correct. Sure makes me root for the underdogs, underBulls that is.

    Back then that would have been called a reach foul . That just goes to show how soft the nba and its fans got. But back to reality rondo prepare to sit this one out brah. This is the yr of the first time first round exits so the stage is set for steph to do him. No garnet no rondo so I trust doc is gonna put that 20mil to use. Pierce and jesus shuttleworth can’t do it by themselves… and steph can’t be shakey…
    I see boston winning the series but I pray for that chi vs orl ….

    The NBA is a joke. Rondo can stab someone in a game and they will just give him a flagrant 1. If Ron Artest threw someone into a table he would be suspended for the whole playoffs. Rondo just had a no suspension flagrant foul where he literally grabbed brad millers after he smacked the hell out of him he gets off with a slap on the wrist. Then he body slams someone into the scorers table and another slap on the wrist. Not cool david stern Not cool at all.

    For the record, I didn’t want Rondo suspended for Game Seven. I absolutely believed—and still believe—that the foul on Brad Miller in Game Five was a flagrant, but changing the call after the fact wouldn’t have changed the outcome of the game. That would have been even more frustrating that the call being wrong in the first place. I want the Celtics to be at full strength tonight. Bring. It. On.

    rondo’s gotta be suspended or at least a major fine for that shove. especially after the tearing off brad millers mouth in game 5. I’m sick of this bush-league officiating when it comes to flagrants- rondo should have had two. and cosign jukai that Kirk would’ve dominated Rajon had the two fought it out.

    Youngmuggsy is a bitter and depressed Hornets fan. K-Mart is probably the most versatile defender in the league. Not many guys can guard 1-5.
