Sure, it’s the doldrums of summer, when guys dropping 40 in a summer league game lead the news. Yay.

Thankfully, at least we have The Diesel, who, along with Damon Jones and a varied collection of people, has released a tribute to Michael Jackson that is well worth four minutes of your time.

    This is disturbing on many levels. Point them out? Sure why not?! Disturbing item #1 – shirtless guys when there’s no need. Disturbing item #2 – random crotch thrusting for what felt like 15 mins straight. Disturbing item #3(the most disturbing of all) – Damon Jones.

    Lang, no mention on the reports that Rubio has no problem playing in Minnesota, and that it’s just about the buyout? I hope this isn’t because you’ve been so sure of yourself regarding the baseless “Rubio would prefer to play in a more suitable market like NYC or Sacramento” stuff and the Kahn doesn’t know what he’s doing opinions.

    the faster Rubio gets out of his buyout, the faster he can be a FA and sign with NY…doesn’t mean he wants to play in Minny..

    RV, not sure what you mean by that. If you mean the sooner he signs his rookie deal and plays it out, then theoretically yes, you’re right, though it’s not always easy to go where you want in the NBA. But that’s the only way to free agency for him. And I don’t think any of us are saying he WANTS to play in Minnesota, like he’s been banging down our door, after years of following the Wolves in Spain like millions of other Spanish children. We get that. What I am saying is that he, like most other players, wants to play in the NBA and knows that you land where you land. If it’s somewhere exciting, great. If it’s somewhere anonymous, so be it, you’ve made it to the NBA. The guy was campaigning to land in the 2 of the 3 smallest markets (Sac/OKC) in the league for crying out loud.

    I think we come to Shaq’s antics to avoid the paper pushing fine print and drawn out Summer storylines of the NBA (are the major/NYC papers still on the Rubio story?). But at the least its not like someone posted that Japanese Beef Italian Losangelinos dude’s name here. (Protip: Email Lang, and get credited as a Lingstigator who writes… “Lang you called us the L-Wolves for the last time” etceteras) Hawks : Wolves next season, get hyped, mark your calendars, and place your bets.
