Raw. This why AI is so great on the court; he plays off the cuff. He just goes hard and plays with his emotions.

  • http://www.slamonline.com Justin Walsh

wow. This was touching to me. AI crying. It jars you… It’s like the only time I have EVER seen my father cry. You just don’t feel like…what’s going on should happen. I hate on AI sometimes on the court, but wow. I pull for dude.

Dude plays the game the best he knows how. I hope he gets with a team (whether or not it’s the Heat) and proves the doubters wrong. He’d probably be his best in Larry Brown’s system. But I haven’t heard that Charlotte is on his radar.

  • http://theghostofroyhobbs.blogspot.com Mo Charlo

That was cool. I would love for him to be a Grizz, but I know it’s not likely. Also, this is the first time I’ve ever said this, but he looks old.

Damn.. I’ve never seen that side of Iverson before. Major props go out to him for what he said. Agree with Tzvi and Walsh.

  • HangTime Hec

I agree with Mo the youthful exuberance that A.I had has faded. Can’t stay young forever.

will watch soon as i get home.

  • http://slamonline.com Ben Osborne

    I’m rooting for AI.

  • larrylegend

    still a ballhog

  • Fat Lever

I don’t agree with some of his principles(skipping out on practice for one), but I have a good deal of respect for him on and off the court. I don’t care where he goes at this point so long as 2 things occur:

    1) He has a legitimate chance to win a ring. Forget KG, this man deserves a ring.
    2) He retires a Sixer, even if it’s just one of those formalities. I’m from Philly and my impressionalble bball years were dominated by AI and Sixer games.

  • Fat Lever

And on a lighter note, AI lookin a little husky there son!

  • http://slamonline.com Allenp

man, i can’t see the video. dammit.

  • http://slamonline.com Allenp

    AI has always been emotional.

  • http://www.facebook.com/Cheboinkien?ref=name Ish

why does everyone hate on this guy so much?

  • FrenchKiss

It’s like that interview he did where there was a Larry Brown snippet that also got him all teary-eyed. Very moving.

  • http://lastknickstanding.blogspot.com Bryan

I can’t see the video but damn I love this guy. Go to ny and drop 50 a game next year!

  • http://hibachi20.blogspot.com DP

one thing I will never take from the man….he is 100 percent real. dude has never been fake. play wit it.

  • http://www.shawn-kemps-offspring.blogspot.com Eboy

Man………I’d love to see Allen in a Heat uniform….even for just one season…….just to see him bust his ass a few nights live and in person playing for the home squad.

  • http://www.manutd.com Z

AI has always given his all for the full 48. That has never been questioned. However, the ‘best way he knows’ is very inefficient at this point in his career.

  • $tev3

    Thank U Ish!
    That was S0 DEEP!
& wat he says is true

I’m excited for AI this season because the last time he felt unwanted (back when philly first wanted to trade him in ’00-’01) he won MVP. Bubba is a gamer and he still has something left in the tank. Everyone gives him flak for the practice thing, but ball is his job- sometimes you call in sick when you’re not feelin’ it. We all do it, why couldn’t he? I think he needs to be in ATL where the fans there would definitely show him love. His game feeds off of that.

  • http://www.realcavsfans.com Anton

he’s right, michael jackson touched a lot of lives as well..A LOT…mostly at night…

  • http://www.tnsa2004.blogspot.com drob50

    Did he talked about practice?!

  • James

i know he’s just tryna be funny and get on people’s nerves but i cant take it anymore…ANTON YOU ARE NOT FUNNY AND YOUR COMMENTS ARE DUMB AND IGNORANT. IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOU? HOW BOUT YOU TRY TO LEAVE AN INTELLIGENT COMMENT ONCE IN A WHILE. OR IS THAT TOO MUCH FOR YOUR BRAIN TO HANDLE?

anyways good vid i love AI hope he wins a title before his career is over…he deserves it

    Go AI!
    Living Legend!

  • http://sjsu.edu davidR

the warriors have no need for him, but the bay would definitely appreciate his effort

  • Teddy-the-Bear

You keep doing you, AI. In public-friendly terms, forget the h@ters, for real. AI is a LEGEND and he’s been doing it big both on and off the court.

  • Jay

DATS MY BOI! man im an AI fan i luv everythin he does FUTURE HOF no doubt! i really hope he gets on a team n takes dem 2 da finals and becomes FINALS MVP! dat way da haters can stop hating

  • http://hibachi20.blogspot.com Blinguo

Just re-read Khalid’s SLAM 68 cover “The Reason” (American Hero) article a couple minutes ago after seeing the video the day before after linking & posted quick thoughts on Hibachi’s MJ piece. In the ish he said the world would be a better place if people were more loyal, reflected that the nonsense media isn’t beneficial to his or anyone else’s career – not even in the make you stronger sense. And what he’s saying now here rings true that you need to be yourself and do right by the world regardless of who sees it or not. I hope he gets what he wants out of the rest of his career, irregardless of whatever everyone else wants out of him.

  • http://hoopmixtape.ning.com/ Simon S.Y Lawy

    that’s ma man…

  • http://jakeandamir.com tealish

Real dude. His storyline is the one I’m most interested in next year, even among all the moves of late.

  • http://www.broy7.com nate the great

    yeah i agree with tealish.
i really really want to see A.i. go hard this upcoming season.
i never hated on A.i. for anything he did.
i read up on his geogetown days awhile back, and the boy went hard. than when he went to philly that boy went hard.
and i think the practice thing was funny.
i mean he didnt really have anyone else on that team that he took to the finals.
    like who he had? Stackhouse?
    .
and thats why i get mad at kobe this year. people say he dragged this team to the finals.
    he didnt drag anyone.
he had odem, gasol, and bynum, brown, fisher. etc. he has other great players.
    A.i. literily had no one.
He has the biggest heart and passion, above KG.
I want him to go play alongside wade. that would be killer.
    him and wade can destroy.

  • http://www.lkz.ch Darksaber

NEVER again will i utter a word of criticism regarding A.I. (not that i actually do that, love him). Wow, this clip is RAW! F*ck a Will Smith, ALLEN is Legend!

  • http://www.inbox.lv support Georgia

AI to Boston, Doc’s a player coach and with a veteran core would fit perfectly as a scorer off the bench, hope he realized he’s 34 cos the window is closing

  • Teddy-the-Bear

    Co-sign Darksaber.

  • Rusty

There are 3 teams that i would have giving my left nut to see win a championship. GP and the rainmans sonics, cwebbs kings and A.I’s sixers.Who cares about kobe and MJ’s ring tally, these teams deserved it.

  • Rusty
