Video: The Brandon Jennings Official Mixtape

NBA Ready.

Because this isn’t your everyday video, we’ll explain why we like it in this fashion: There’s everything to love. For one, it’s focused on SLAM’s man Brandon Jennings. That’s a good thing. It’s also a near five-minute feast of never before seen, high-quality high school footage — basically a virtual treasure trove. That’s dope. And Tyson Johnston aka Domino, one of our favorite mixemakers, was back on his inspired producing when he threw the highlights together. That’s cake as well (careful with the binge editing, homie!).

What it adds up to is a mix that does little wrong and pretty much everything right. Sorta like the playa himself. We’ll save some breath about his game now, because praise will be heavy come November.

    He’s not as quick as a thought, but he’s got nice overall speed. His handle is pretty good, although his dribble is a little high. I like the form on his shot, no quirks in the release, but he has that Lebron diseas where he fades a lot on his shots.
    But, what’s amazing is his freakish athleticism. That kid gets up for real.

    Allen, I’m actually changing my stance on the whole fading thing. If you put in the hours and do it THE SAME WAY EVERY SINGLE TIME, it creates nice separation b/n you and the defender.

    i know how teddy yao’s foot feel (well, not yao’s real foot). was disappointed the warriors took curry over brandon. why do the warriors need curry when morrow is on the team? a backcourt of jennings-monta would’ve been super dope. plus, nellie wouldve had the creative point his system needs.

    dang, to be honest never seen much footage of the dude, that is some deep 3 balls he’s shooting… perfect for a D’Antoni offense, but already with un undersized/hyper atheletic pg in Nate Rob i can see why they passed, hopefully he can shine with the Bucks
