If Sessions stays in Milwaukee..
BJ is nasty. check the handles
dude reminds me alot like a young AI with more hops
I wonder if Big Sean got anything from them using his Song “Desire, Want and Need” off his mixtape.
Nice commercial too
Brandon Jennings reminds me of Steve Francis
@the underrated one:His quickness and ability to get to the basket are very similar to The Answer. As you pointed out he’s more athletic than AI but the scary thing is that he is also a better and more willing passer and has a good 2-3 inches on AI. It’s kinda scary when you think about it. Really the only two knocks people have had about Iverson’s game this kid already seems to have figured out. Look out, NBA.
Hey Brad, not to burst your bubble, but if he’s the new and improved AI, why did he drop down to #10? I saw him between #4-#8 on most mock drafts. Are his character issues that significant? And where would you rank him vs. Mayo?
I am not even gonna talk about B.J. so I’ll say this, Under Armour is making some seriously sick hoop gear.
Shu:Why did Jordan go 3rd? Why did Kobe go 13th? Why did Gilbert Arenas not even get taken in the first round? GM’s aren’t always right. I’m not saying that Brandon’s a sure fire HOFer but if he’s not a perennial all-star within 4 seasons I’ll be surprised. I’m sure being the first kid to head overseas and dealing with limited minutes there hurt him a little as well as some of the comments he made predraft regarding Rubio may have scared some teams who might have labeled him a bit of a diva. Anyone who saw Brandon play in Summer League knows that he’ll be on the short list for ROY this year. As far as comparing him to Mayo, they really are two very different players. O.J. is an undersized two guard with good but not great ball handling, a great jumper for a sophomore in the league, and an understanding of how to get his shot off against good NBA defenders that is way beyond his years. He’s a serviceable passer, but not someone I would want to spend a lot of time at the point. His defense still leaves much to be desired and I doubt that he’ll ever develop into an above average defender. Brandon, on the other hand, is a natural point with the ability to score in bunches. He has good size, long arms, but needs to put on a little bit of weight and become stronger. He has a serviceable and still improving jumper, great court vision and puts passes in places that give his teammates the ability to score. He’s more athletic than O.J. and has a knack for getting his long arms on the ball on the defensive end. He will probably have a turnover problem his rookie year but his other attributes will more than make up for it. If your asking me who the better player is right now, I’d give the edge to Mayo slightly. If your asking me who has more upside, it’s Brandon by a mile.
How could you guys compare Brandon Jennings to AI when BJ is here talking about how he likes practice? Seriously though, I see the A.I. resemblance with the build, but I would have to disagree with the athleticism. A.I. is (was) a phenomenal athlete. He was Gatorade player of the year in Football as well. Also, I have never seen anyone as quick as A.I. A.I. didn’t dunk much after his first couple years in the L, but due has serious hops. At G’town he was regularly cramming on fools. I like B.J. though, he has a good swag about him. He need to tell his friends not to you tube his conversations though.
agreed luv2ball, but I believe why alot of people think that BJ has that extra bit of athleticism is because he has those extra couple of inches on AI, so his dunks are a little nastier, even if AI was actually the same or better in terms of pure athleticism
B. Long, how was Allen Iverson not a good passer? And how was Allen Iverson less athletic than Brandon Jennings? Just because he didn’t dunk? Ya’ know, Nate Robinson rarely dunks in games, does that mean he’s less athletic than Dwight Howard?
Oh, I also forgot to mention the fact that Jennings is a pure point and Iverson is a Shooting Guard.
It’s not that AI is not a good passer, he is not a willing passer. If you watch A.I. play he is a ball stopper, and he get most of his assists as a last resort. I think A.I. could have been an outstanding PG, in the Nate Archibald mode led league in points and assists one year, for you youngins). The times I have seen A.I. really run point (olympics, All-star games, G-town) he was phenomenal. If he would take a sixth man role now, I think he could be what a team needs to get over the hump. He could come in with the second unit and take all the shots he wanted! Imagine him in Clevelands second unit, or Bostons! Miami I dont think is a good fit, as he and Dwade are ball dominant guards, but with that second unit he would be murder.
So, I’m wondering how much the website is getting paid to advertise first the AI9/Lewis/Durant/Mo adds, now the ones for Underarmour?
I have NO problem with it, because the site has to generate $ (duh) however it can. It just seems like I’ve noticed it the last 2 weeksish because I cant remember it being done here before.
I hate it when my comments disappear. Only one of 3 appeared *muchos sadness*
Don’t get me wrong, A.I. was a hell of an athlete. I still remember him cramming on Marcus Camby early in his career. But Brandon has been doing things that 6’1″ dudes just don’t do. Like the between the legs dunk you see in the video. That is some next level stuff for a dude that size. As far as comparing him to Iverson, it’s his speed and ability to get to the basket and finish that really warrants that comparison. Jennings is crazy fast. And I never said that Iverson wasn’t a good passer.
He`s not more athletic than a young AI! Go to youtube and check Iverson from the Gtown days and early years. I remember some crazy dunks vs the raptors, sonics and magic..
Brad, the between the legs dunk wasn’t popular when A.I. was younger. I think all the smaller guys are doing it now. The between the legs dunk is like a reverse dunk now.
F*ck this. I’m gonna try and post again..
Mayo is 6’5 – like Ray Allen. Not undersized SG. He’s taller & stronger than Jennings, so that makes up for the extra 4 inches Jennings has on his vertical with his length and bulk etc.
Sick one. I got about 1/4 of my words through and they don’t even have proper structure. WTF! Sorry.
No roid rage like screaming, about a revolution or what was it with their first set of training shoes, so its a step up. Good on ya, Under Armour marketing and editing.

Jennings is goin to surprise everyone and win ROY is he gets the playin time. He reminds me of Agent Zero personality wise
