Slamadaday: Shannon Brown on Mikki Moore

This is a pretty good example of what Shannon “Shanwow” Brown has to offer. But if this is what Mikki Moore has in store for the season, the Warriors best let him go before it gets underway.

    Slamaday is back!

  • Holy Baller Posted: Oct.8 at 10:46 am
Awesome. And a great way to start if off, that was pretty nasty. Great thought to take a charge, but you gotta know your foot’s on the line.

  • niQ Posted: Oct.8 at 10:47 am
Yes! Shannon Brown finally getting some shine.

  • Brad Long Posted: Oct.8 at 10:54 am
Phil Jackson before the game:”Shannon, with Trevor gone we’re gonna need somebody to fill his posterization role”. Shannon:”I’ll see what I can do.”

  • Hisham Posted: Oct.8 at 10:57 am
yikes. this rivals kobe’s preseason dunk on ben wallace from years ago

  • Ryan Jones Posted: Oct.8 at 11:05 am
Offensive foul. Replacement refs are a travesty.

  • Clockwork Posted: Oct.8 at 11:13 am
    Wow.Nice

  • Brad Long Posted: Oct.8 at 11:23 am
Ryan:He was all over the line, starting the Laker hate early this season, huh?

  • Gerard Himself Posted: Oct.8 at 11:33 am
I like Mikki Moore, can’t hate on him, but daaaamnnnn Shannon! Whoa.

  • Jacqueline Mitchell Posted: Oct.8 at 11:34 am
Go Shannon!!! Woo Hoo!!! That’s the way to do it,Yeah!!!

  • Brad Long Posted: Oct.8 at 11:40 am
I was thinking the same thing, Hisham. What was more impressive was Bynum’s 24 and Ron Artest almost posting a triple double in limited mins.

  • niQ Posted: Oct.8 at 11:45 am
In other news, Arize is playing horribly in Houston. (I know it’s just preseason… wait. if it’s the preseason he should be dominating.. )

  • niQ Posted: Oct.8 at 11:46 am
    *Ariza

  • UnRel Posted: Oct.8 at 11:56 am
i watched this dunk last night.. and kobe’s in nevada.. there’s no way this one rivals that one.. kobe’s was illmatic..

  • RBLove Posted: Oct.8 at 12:05 pm
OUch! Mikki Moore! We need somebody to stand up to that type a sh*! Not sit down.
    GSW represent!

  • Joey E. Posted: Oct.8 at 12:18 pm
if anyone saw this live in L.A., something’s wrong why arent you LA guys watching the Dodgers?

  • Greg Tanner Posted: Oct.8 at 12:33 pm
Sorry, Kobe on Wallace beats this hands down. Not just the dunk…but the crossover he did before.

  • Brad Long Posted: Oct.8 at 12:34 pm
    That’s true, Greg.

  • James the balla Posted: Oct.8 at 1:52 pm
Brad … that game was impressive. I was very happy. Yourself?

  • Brad Long Posted: Oct.8 at 2:11 pm
I’m trying not to get too excited about a preseason win over a d-league level team but if Ron plays his role through out the season like he did last night and Bynum stays aggressive and healthy its gonna be fun to watch.

  • JL Posted: Oct.8 at 2:24 pm
I hate it when players try to get in front of driving offensive guys to get a charge. One they are not making a play on the ball, and two most of the time they don’t even get there early enough and still get the call sometimes. Just go for the block and if you get a foul call or a facial then live with it. All these athletic guys and what we get on defense are people rushing to a spot to act like a wooden fence post.

  • James the balla Posted: Oct.8 at 2:31 pm
Yeah same Brad. I remember the first year after Shaq left. The first game of the season the Lakers ball movement was amazing and Walton played great. I thought we were going to have a strong season. Boy was I wrong.

  • donlaker Posted: Oct.8 at 2:38 pm
i had to stop watching the dodger game 4 like 3 min
(SPLIT T.V.) SHANNON WAS SIC WITH IT and the lakers look hungry again , look out boston,

  • Ben Osborne Posted: Oct.8 at 2:54 pm
Good question, Joey E. Go Dodgers!

  • Logues Posted: Oct.8 at 3:14 pm
adam morrisons crustache liked that one

  • Yesse Posted: Oct.8 at 6:37 pm
That crazy dunk just made my jaw drop and my jaw hasnt dropped in a long time when it comes to an in game dunk.

  • JoNaBo Posted: Oct.8 at 7:32 pm
Why does this happen every preaseason. Someone always sits on someones head every year.

  • RahDUB Posted: Oct.8 at 9:56 pm
JoeyE… I saw this live, and the only thing wrong with us Laker fans is (well there’s lots of things wrong about us)… Simply, LA is a Laker Town. We love our Lakers because Buss always puts a winning product out there. How many times have the Dodgers and Angels been to the World Series compared to the Lakers going to the Finals? Do you know why the Rams and Raiders left? Cus the NBA season coincides with the NFL season, and the Los Angelinos are going to Laker games.

  • vic21 Posted: Oct.8 at 10:04 pm
Ryan Jones do you know the rules? I don’t think so.

  • balldontlie Posted: Oct.8 at 10:41 pm
thats coz moore was a celtic!

  • Hursty Posted: Oct.9 at 12:24 am
    vic21 doesn’t get it.
That dunk reminds me of Gerald Wallace (Kings) dunking all over the Rockets 5/6 years ago.

  • la huey Posted: Oct.9 at 2:20 am
bigs have no business trying t draw charges on guards anyways.

  • Zee! Posted: Oct.9 at 1:16 pm
*watches Shannon Boom on Mikki Mouse* *Dies a thousand deaths*

  • Joe Posted: Oct.9 at 4:49 pm
    Shannon has nice hands.

  • ciolkstar Posted: Oct.10 at 12:03 am
Dayum! Shannon Brown has enormous hands, and he’s always used them to his advantage. I remember thinking that all the way back when he was at Michigan state… Oh, and “Shanwow” is one of the best new nicknames I’ve heard in a minute. Nice work.

  • dutch Rob Posted: Oct.10 at 6:38 am
    I like shannon
if he improves his playmaking skills the Lake show have a solid PG in Brown not to mention an explosive one daaamn
farmar is nice also but brown has more potential imo

  • Milliondollamindz Posted: Oct.11 at 11:12 am
    oh uh

  • Anton Posted: Oct.12 at 1:45 am
I bet that in Phil Jackson’s notebook all he wrote was “turned down an open Odom at the half way line”

  • Russ Bengtson Posted: Oct.12 at 4:12 pm
Yo Shannon, I’m happy for you and I’ma let you finish, but Kobe on Ben Wallace was the best pre-season dunk OF ALL TIME.

  • skywalker Posted: Oct.12 at 7:07 pm
shannon “chris” brown still dropping guys like they were his girlfriend!!

  • Teddy-the-Bear Posted: Oct.12 at 11:32 pm
Shannon Brown looks like Kyle Lowry!

  • Peter E Posted: Oct.14 at 5:45 am
Look @ Kobe’s (No)reaction in 0.10; is that dude even “human” at all??? How can you “witness” something like that and not show any emotion (like the rest of the Lakers did BTW)or even flinch at all? I tell you “something’s” wrong with that mamba dude…
PS: Much love to the King James, Da Big Shaqalier and the Cavs. Look out NBA 2010 season!!!
