    Video: Kobe’s Over-the-Shoulder Shot

Groin injury. What groin injury? Bryant gave the Pistons 40 last night (the 100th time he’s done that to an opponent in his career), and the highlight was a circus shot on the baseline: “It was a lucky shot,” Bryant said afterward with a shrug of his shoulders. “I just flicked it up and it went in.”

      I agree .What groin injury?

    • Anton Posted: Nov.18 at 10:21 am
The groin injury was his wife neutering him.

    • Big Ben Posted: Nov.18 at 10:23 am
What about Maxiell’s block on Shannon Brown? Shannon thought he was gonna get on Sportscenter again… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fN_Qd1nXOtw&feature=email 5 years in the league, and still eating babies daily.

      ^Ouch.

    • Gerwin Posted: Nov.18 at 11:02 am
Wonder if he called ‘BANK’ or ‘BOARD’ before shot it ;-).

    • Brad Long Posted: Nov.18 at 11:03 am
Greg Ostertag just had a seizure.

    • Gerard Himself Posted: Nov.18 at 11:33 am
He has quite a lot of 40-point games this season already. Kobe doesn’t slow down (I hope)

    • Ben Posted: Nov.18 at 11:38 am
      That’s a lot of replays

    • Tommy Vercetti Posted: Nov.18 at 12:33 pm
      That’s just Kobe being Kobe.

    • James the balla Posted: Nov.18 at 12:57 pm
WOW, first time SLAM has had Kobe on here I believe.

    • Jackie Moon Posted: Nov.18 at 1:00 pm
Looks like I’ll have to change my standard line for any Kobe post to “Cue Anton joke involving one or more of the following: White Girls, Colorado, Shaq, Kobe’s Wife, or Diamond Rings”

    • RV Posted: Nov.18 at 1:20 pm
guess who else slaps his wrist on those shots..

    • Brad Long Posted: Nov.18 at 1:34 pm
      Poor Kwame.

    • Allenp Posted: Nov.18 at 2:26 pm
Isn’t it funny how the fans high five each other when a player makes a good play? I’ve always found that humorous. I mean, why are you high-fiving, you’re not playing.

    • BennieBravo Posted: Nov.18 at 2:35 pm
      stu lantz is a legend!

    • That'sWhatSheSaid Posted: Nov.18 at 2:48 pm
Allen: Those high fives are for being witness to greatness. Kobe won’t be playing forever so enjoy it while you can.

    • Yesse Posted: Nov.18 at 3:41 pm
      Now thats a trick shot.

    • kobesbestfriend Posted: Nov.18 at 3:49 pm
ahhh…still the best in the league…Lebron who???

    • Esco Posted: Nov.18 at 4:17 pm
      @RV: GOAT. I win.

    • nbk Posted: Nov.18 at 5:59 pm
i like how every player that shoots a backwards flip shot slaps their wrist or hand. That is the biggest trend Jordan started, forget the baggie shorts, shaved head, signature shoes, it’s the wrist slap

    • Dacre Posted: Nov.18 at 6:01 pm
And if A.I. did it, he would have been labelled as playing out of control…

    • Eric Woodyard Posted: Nov.18 at 6:20 pm
      The best in the league!!

    • 360vue Posted: Nov.18 at 6:40 pm
insane, truly insane. 1:09-1:13 shows just how ridiculous his technique is, that finesse!! however that maxiell block bigben posted was absolutely disgusting though, shannon got truly slain. is it just me or does the ‘nice’ (narrrgh-ice) at 0:40, it sounds like the cookie monster

    • vic21 Posted: Nov.18 at 6:50 pm
The best in the world. We are fortunate.

    • The Seed Posted: Nov.18 at 7:01 pm
The Black Mamba does it again, again and again to reach 40 for the 100 time. SIMPLY THE BEST!!!

    • Hursty Posted: Nov.18 at 7:10 pm
Big Ben’s link is incredible. That block was huuuuge.

    • Hursty Posted: Nov.18 at 7:15 pm
      BAHAHA! RV is so right.
Look at 0.35, he clearly slaps his own wrist/hand.

    • oliver Posted: Nov.18 at 9:16 pm
tryin to be like mike again??

    • J Posted: Nov.18 at 10:32 pm
that’s a hell of a shot. but i don’t like him scoring 40 again. Yes Pau’s not in there, but i mean where’s Lamar? Ron?

    • BIRDMAN JR Posted: Nov.18 at 10:58 pm
You kobe loyalists are funny talking bout technique he just threw the shot up and yall talking bout footwork. Even ur leader himself said it was a lucky shot. Because he makes a lucky shot he’s the best huh. CHILD PLEASE.

    • J Posted: Nov.18 at 11:04 pm
if wade did that it would be the drive of the year.

    • TC Posted: Nov.18 at 11:13 pm
Wow, on the slow-mo replay, it shows Kobe in complete control of his body while turning and hanging in mid air. It almost looks……easy for him, damn!

    • Niya-girl-fresh Posted: Nov.18 at 11:41 pm
I love this shot but I can’t believe no one saw this one! This one was even more insane! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zgOqmz9HQds&feature=player_embedded

    • Jukai Posted: Nov.19 at 1:07 am
If JJ Reddick did that, the universe would explode

    • 360vue Posted: Nov.19 at 6:53 am
@Birdman, you dont actually play basketball do you? Seriously, come on…. if you look at that shot and cant see technique in any aspect of that shot then sigh… leave these boards please? no doubt “he just threw it up there”, but ultimately, isnt every shot the same, its not a pre-ordained fact that every shot is going in.. and of course he was lucky but how does that remove any chance of technique in a play?!?! and aint i know kobe loyalist i just appreciate someone who has game I second niya-girl, that link far more dope

    • mwikumi murangiri Posted: Nov.19 at 7:01 am
      i like it man!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Sporting-Lisbon-Blazers Posted: Nov.19 at 7:22 am
      MMAAAAXXXIIIEELLL OWNS SHANON BROWN

    • Wayno Posted: Nov.19 at 10:30 am
That shot was sick, but Maxiel’s block was the play of the game…that was downright nasty.

    • J Posted: Nov.19 at 11:38 pm
you know everytime i see Maxiell blocks someone, go to the hoop strong and finish, out rebounds or out hustles everyone, he reminds me of Shawn Kemp. i feel he could be like him. but five years into his career and still that feeling remains a feeling..

    • rikson Posted: Nov.24 at 4:03 am
DId anybody see the double-handed monster block from Dantay Jones early this season?
