Irony of ironies, the banner read, “Character, Commitment, Connection.” Whoops:

hm, not sure what to say about this. I still hope that Arenas will find a way back into the NBA, but I wonder on what team he’ll eventually end up. Then again, I’m getting ahead of myself here.

Dammit Gilbert! Look at what you’ve done! You were the face of a franchise and now this is how you represent the city and it’s fans?

  • Royal

The only thing us D.C natives can say is………Go Caps!!!!!!!!!!

  • james

gil will fit perfectly into the celtics new roster space after letting lester hudson go. oh yea

  • ClydeSays

This is very 1984. “Gilbert Arenas? Who’s that?”

  • Royal

James: Or to the Lakers next year (he’s from LA) OH YEA

  • Joe

    First of all….”Character.Commitment,Connection”
Even before the gun incident with Gil, If I were blind, and somebody told me to guess which player was on the poster based off the words “Character. Commitment. Connection”……I would have said Antawn Jamison!

  • KRIS

I wonder where that banner is going ? ….. probably be extinguished like Gil’s star career.

  • Young C

I think the words on the poster still fit Gilbert well. He’s definitely a Character, he showed Commitment to pranks and practical joking, and he had to have Connections to acquire that impressive gun collection.

The Lakers actually makes sense, unfortunately.

  • NAS

if he can play next year the team that gets him is going to be very lucky; if he doesnt play for 2 years or goes to jail his career is over and i have a feeling he doesnt have any money saved up; what a sad sad story

  • Jack

And just how are the Lakers fitting Gilbert’s contract on to the team? I’m sure he will have a HUGE paycut from the one he is currently on, but still. Actually, I want it to happen: Kobe + Gil in the same backcourt = VERY unhappy Gasol and Bynum. Actually, make that everyone on the team. Chemistry f*ck-up, anyone?
