Slamadaday: Lance Stephenson on Mac Koshwal

Born Ready was putting in work ’til 2 a.m. the night before Wednesday’s game against DePaul. Pretty sure that work paid off.

Dang. Kid’s good, hope he can get rid of the attitude he came to Cinci with…

    Mac Koshwal, you say…

  • BG

Lance has unlimited potential, always has but I think he should stay another year.

This was for everyone who says he’s not athletic enough.

  • Maurice Bobb

Nice! Had no idea he had springs like that. Wonder why the trail has gone cold on this guy since landing at Cincy? You never hear about him anymore.

  • Rob

John Wall this, John Wall that. I’m telling you, when Lance is ready (because he wasn’t born ready, no matter what he says) He’s gonna be not good, but great. Wait and see.

  • gauchos914

damn I ain’t see lance jump like that since a reallll long time..props

I’m with u Rob, Wall gets all the hype but remember Lance had this hype way before Wall even was gettin’ pub, and in NYC..Lance was playing on the Panthers as an 8th grader out in the Big Time in Vegas and they dropped jamel white who was going to laurinburg at the time (later to nebraska) as a senior in HS. So for Wall to get all this love right now, it’s understandable but a lot of people forget that Lance been all over since he been 14. He’s gonna figure it out and be a more than decent pro..people are gonna give him a hard time about his attitude and shot selection but the honest truth is that on pure talent and potential, Lance is up there with Wall except for handling the ball and pure athleticism, when he WANTS to he sees the floor as good if not better than any PG in america and I’ll stand by that statement..but he yakkkedd it on son here

Yo where’s the omg’s on the comment section. This was huge. I mean the dunk is humiliating enuf but really did he have to press his hand in the man’s face before he crammed it.

    no he didn’t!

Most impressive move I’ve seen from Lance. Like everyone, I’ve known that he’s big and strong and can finish, but damn, he crushed that from a step further out that I thought he could.

  • T-Money

He kinda used the guy as a ladder à la Tom Chambers. Please dead the Lance/Wall comparisons. A dunk doesn’t change what we’ve been seeing of him as of late, if he tries to bully ppl to the rim in the L he’ll get his sh-t sent back. He played a Bron kinda driving game in HS but he doesn’t have the athletic abilities, the body control, the agility and the touch.

  • Erika Badu

    offensive foul

  • kg

finally i thought the kid rode the bench geez the dunk was good but not nba ready . . . .

  • Teddy-the-Bear

I thought he wasn’t athletic? What the heck happened?

  • Teddy-the-Bear

He pushed the defender in the freaking face, though. Offensive foul yes, but no refs are going to call it when its happening that fast in the air. Dirty play, I’m not sure if it was intentional, but man he freaking socked the guy in the mouth.

  • Dallas

His left hand was in the man’s face. His weight was just on the guys face. If he put his hand on my face like that i would’ve been pissed

  • riggs

im surprised the dude aint snuff him, i sure wouldve

  • Dallas

Yea i thought the guy was about to fire on em

  • STRETCH

    I like that

  • andrew

Man is there anything Lance can do without being hated on? “oh he pushed his face….”,”that was an offensive foul….”, “Dirty play…” ,yadda yadda yadda.

If john wall did the same play I bet all you haters would be like that guy should have moved so john didnt need to put his hand in his face.

Everyone talks about Lances attitude and work effort but considering hes still here, still busting his butt to make the NBA despite all the hate, criticism, legal trouble, the almost complete shunning the big schools gave him and the complete disrespect he gets in the draft. Yes he needs to stay another year, not cos he isnt NBA ready but because he has to rebuild an image and wait til the NBA is ready for him.

  • STRETCH

U Didn’t know??? HATE is the NEW LOVE!!!! Example. Slam is a 1 dimensional mag. Slam only covers Bball. Basketball isn’t the only sport. It wouldn’t be a good mag if it talked about all sports…. Translation or what I’m really sayin is. I love SLAM because it talks about BBall and that’s my favorite sport. I would be a little Leary if people started sayin Lance was a good player. ALL the GREAT ONES Got hated on. Lance is reaching for Greatness. NO CEILINGS LOL

  • STRETCH

I think Mac Koshwal will Be a solid pro

  • Aaron

    …to get dunked on

  • Coney Islander

Lance use to live in the apt under mine. lol I see his grandmother every other day. He’s been solid since he was like 7. Lets not forget he gave NBAer Jamal Crawford 40 points at the EBC when he was 14! He’s going to be a problem for years to come.

  • badazz
