Slamadaday: Victor Dean on Chris Banaga

Lincoln (San Diego) High School star Victor Dean gets a full head of steam and topples one on St. Augustine’s 5-10 PG captain, Chris Banaga. Mind you, Dean’s 6-6, 210 pounds, and is a California first team wide receiver. He runs the 40 in 4.4 seconds and advanced to the California state meet for long jump. Sometimes HS basketball just ain’t fair.

    Lol, he pushes the man after the dunk on & then he put his head down in shame as the realization of being banged on (probably in front of his girlfriend) sets in. Seriously, I’m tired of dudes getting banged on while trying to take a charge?!?! Hey Steve Nash, dude had a full head of steam, at least jump & try to block it or do what you should of done, GET THE F**K OUT THE WAY!!!

    Sometimes, you just have to leave. If I see a known athlete come straight at me, I know for a fact I’m getting out of the way. I’ll look like I tried, but honestly, I’m not getting dunked on.

    On behalf of all the guards out there, I applaud Banagaman for hanging in there and trying to take the charge, just like his coach probably told him to a thousand times before. This is a very weak dunk, no finesse. I like Banagaman’s pushback for that weak staredown Dean did at the end of the play. Remember…if it weren’t for the guards …who’d get the ball to the big guy?
