So, you’re telling me there’s something wrong with everyone in Cleveland?

  • Flight

Hahaha. Not a Noah fan but that was hilarious. Hope he ends up in a cavs uniform one day.

  • http://www.dimemag.com Royal

I kno that alot of ppl hate Noah but I gotta alot of
respect for him.The cavs fans were booing him all game ,but he was still able to play one of his best games as a pro

  • http://slamonline.com/ Ryne Nelson

Noah speaks the Truth… other than the part about being ready for Game 3.

  • Diesel

First off, he’s telling the truth. No one from Cleveland can rebut what he’s saying. Your one and only comeback is “get a haircut”. If he was talking crap and didn’t back it up I’d understand, but the guy had 25 points and 13 rebounds with the entire arena doing and saying much more than a simple ‘boo’. Plus its funny as hell

  • http://www.realcavsfans.com Anton

Someone’s gotta fill the Deshawn role

  • http://slamonline.com Bryan Cawford

Joakim Noah, ladies and gentleman… *applause*

  • neaorin

Funny he should talk about vacation…

  • riggs

theres something wrong with me then, cause i think he’s a retarded looking douche.

  • underdog

Gotta love this kid. Hilarious! He’s made this otherwise irrelevant series a bit more hectic, and with this a bit more interesting.

  • neaorin

Yannick Noah needs to take a short break from helping underprivileged children overseas and smack some sense into his own kid.

  • Vikturus

Joakim Noah for president! Go go Sweden (he’s half swedish you know!)

  • karma

No, someone’s finally standing up to The Hyped One. I’m so sick of dudes piling on people that dare question the Queen. The guy hasnt accomplished jack (Lebron). He’s King of nothing. Yes, I’m a hater, because I’m sick of dudes on this site fellating Lebron and getting deeply offended when an NBA player speaks out against him. Dude’s not a saint…hes an arrogant punk that will lose again after getting cocky. Cause he’s a loser, and will always will be a loser.

  • karma

And who the hell wants to go to Cleveland anyway? Even your boy LeB**ch is leaving.

  • http://slamonline.com Bryan Cawford

@Anton… I like DeShawn, but Joakim Noah actually produces. Big difference.

  • http://slamonline.com Krishan

Say what you want, this ain’t no deshawn-punk move. He backs it up, and it doesn’t come off as gimicky or self-serving as deshawn’s. More and more I’m thinking that he IS the heart and soul of this chi team. With drose in the roster and cap space flexibility, no way this kid bails out of this organization. I hope.

  • neaorin

according to Krishan, if you’re poppin s**t about another city, then going out and playing very well in a basketball game means you’re “backing it up”. Okay then.

  • http://4Aitkenroad,Hamilton,ScotlandML37YA Hambone

how far apart are his eyes..seriously that gap between his eyes man..

he looks loke admiral akbarr from the star wars movies

  • http://www.slamonline.com/ niQ

Let’s all talk sh!t to our neighbouring cities and then back it up by doing well at our own respective jobs! The world will revolve better that way!

  • fatjeansince’88

While we on the topic of sh!ty cities, I want 2 send a big FU(K YOU to “miami”, Ohio.

  • Diesel

Have you people ever actually been to cleveland? Its like one giant dumpster fire. He wasn’t talking sh*t. he just said he didn’t like the city and that there was nothing to do. To me that’s pretty tame by talking sh*t standards.

  • erich

I would be generous with Noah if he talks sh*t about my city but we had the better basketball team.
People in Cleveland seem very thin skinned.

  • Diesel

Hahaha – I think this video says it all:

  • jdubbs29

    He’s on TBS. VERY funny.

  • http://www.youtube.com/user/CathedralsRecords?feature=mhw4 Earl

Waiting for the boneheaded Anton comment… oh, there it is! :)

  • barnabusb

    lol @ niQ

  • mj23

He needs to stop smokin all that weed. It’s messin up his head.

  • mike

kid plays hard i like him

  • http://Www.lkz.ch Darksaber

    Hambone: Ackbar resents the comparison.

  • http://slamonline.com Allenp

Dude is one of my favorite players in the League because of his game and his attitude.
I am impressed with his improvement, and I hope he spends the summer in the gym working on his post game, because if he develops and dependable jump hook and mid range jumper, the League is in trouble.

  • keegan

@Hambone – haha he looks more like sid the sloth off of ice age

  • Papa Smurf

    He’s correct: Cleveland sucks.

  • Papa Smurf

    He’s correct: Cleveland sucks.

  • http://soundcloud.com/boy-sanchez Boy Sanchez

I’ve only watched 9 seconds and I started laughing! Just watch his face!!! Believe me, as i write this, I paused the video! I’ll sit comfortably and watch the whole thing now! See you soon…

  • LA Huey

Probably the most entertaining sweep/4-1 1st round series b/c of him.

  • T-Money

Allenp, you need to scale that back a notches or 3. Jo Noah will never be a ”problem”. If he develops a post up game, he MIGHT make a few all-star teams. That’s his bestesest case scenario. He doesn’t have to go back to Cleveland until next season, so what’s the big deal?

  • http://bulls.com airs

    cosign allenp.
noah gives other teams fits, kinda like KG circa early 2000s.
and he wouldve been a major contender for most improved had it not been for the injury.

dude speaks the truth all the time, gotta admire that.

  • Logues

i hate noah, but at the same time like him cuz he works his ass off out there hustling the whole game on both ends of the floor which you dont see in the nba much besides kevin love and mark madsen

He sorta has a point…I’ve honestly never heard anyone say they wanted to go to Cleveland for vacation…LOL

  • jdote

I wonder how close the Bulls are to contending with the Cavaliers. Next season, if you add one big free agent acquisition like a Chris Bosh, Booze, or David Lee, can the Bulls contend. I ask, because if the bulls don’t make a splash and the bulls continue to be mediocre, no matter how good noah plays, the comments make him look bad.. however, if they develop a real rivalry, i think the comments are great

  • Rob

I like Noah. Remember when he yelled Lebron : thats getting old” after he was dancing like a jerk? I loved that

  • http://www.slamonline.com Pardeep

    This guys crazy

  • ConeyIslander

I keep finding new reasons to like this guy. *pause*

  • Mike

good on JOakim. you need that kind of attitude to beat the Cavs. everyone just seems overawed and lays down. it takes balls to stand up to Lebron and not have the talent of a Dwade or Kobe. Even the Celtics ive seen bow down to LEbron this season and shrug in awe. stuff that- Deshawn and Joakim are throwbacks- the way players used to be- with balls- and the way the playoffs used to be. it didnt matter if you were 1 or 8- you came to battle, and didnt take a backward step. you didnt show the other team love, respect- but not love and awe. now players are allmost falling over for a chance to get beaten by lebron- they WANT him to be the best. its sad. can you see Bird or Magic or Rodman or Isaiah or Mchale for that matter backing down and admitting defeat?!?! hell no. not even Rick Mahorn would back down . props to being a man.

  • http://www.hibachi20.blogspot.com BETCATS

So i hate everyone on the Cavs and i hate Noah. Who do i side with?

  • Groves

Theres obviously something wrong with me then, because although this was funny- i still dont like him…… and im a Florida U fan

  • bulletsforever

If he thinks Cleveland is bad he must of hated Gainesville. That town is the asshole of America.

  • lakers2010

    made my day
you know that city is lame when their idol is leaving this summer

lakers cavs nba finals , ;]

  • JoeMaMa

If you’re thin, and someone calls you fat, you laugh it off. If you’re fat, and someone calls you fat, you get offended.
    Cleveland, my friends…..is fat.

  • neaorin

@JoeMaMa: meanwhile you’re still a jerk for calling people fat without them provoking you. Unless you count getting beat in the playoffs as “provoking”.

  • T-Money

i HAVE to smile at the fact that the same people applauding noah right now would be KILLING bron if he had said something along those lines. you know it’s true. and when you think about it, it’s kind of a loser thing to say. imagine fabregas saying that manchester is a dump compared to london after getting served by united? i have never set foot in cleveland and i couldnt care less about that city besides its basketball team but seriously, what’s the point? why should we care than san and SLC are boring? it’s never a good look to be whiny when you’re getting manhandled.

  • http://slamonline.com Allenp

I think Noah’s smarts, and his hustle make him a problem if he develops the skills i mentioned.
Right now, he’s putting up regular double-doubles without true skills and without crazy athleticism.
I’m not saying he’s not athletic, he is, but he’s no freak of nature.
But, he’s smart, he plays hard all the time, and dude isn’t afraid to fail.
All threed qualities cannot be underrated in professional basketball, particularly the last one.

  • http://nicekicks.com CharmeloMan

Shout outs to Neorin at 11:59 pm with one of the most underated jokes I’ve seen in a while… But Joakim is sick, love his game

  • jone

BUM! BUM! BUM!… he will never get anywhere in the NBA with a mouth like that.

  • Dillan

If you lose, don;t shake hands or anything, Because you’re a winner Joakim! Check my stats!!!lol!

  • John A

Nice post Krishan. Thanks for talking about what matters here. This guy is both incredibly competetive, mobile, fierce, smart and GOOD. Tell me how many other players you know that like that. That’s a short list.

  • clevelandnative

People don’t have to understand whats great about cleveland because true clevelanders dont give a flying f*ck about what outsiders think or believe. As far as im concerned cleveland is a wonderful city. Nobody else’s thoughts matter to me because they dont exist to me. Noah is good basketball player who talks without thinking first(ex: mouthing off about KG). Thats his problem. But guess what? He is at home watching round 2 on tv and the cavs are still in the playoffs. Ha!
