Video: Nash Broke Nose, Won’t Miss Game 4

Paul Coro fills us in with the info: “Suns guard Steve Nash joined his team for practice this morning after a specialist determined that his nose suffered a ‘minimally displaced nasal fracture’ when he collided with Derek Fisher’s head while catching an inbound in Game 3′s final seconds. A team press release said Nash will return to the eye-nose-throat doctor, Ryan Rehl, after today’s practice to undergo a minor reduction that will reset the nose. He will not miss any practice or game time.”

Derrick Fisher is one of the dirtiest, if not THE dirtiest player in the NBA right now. Off the court he is a great person, no doubt about it, but on it…
He’ll win at any cost, which is great for a team to have, but he is seriously a guy that p!sses me off to watch. Robin Lopez’s elbow was probably justified.

there’s no way that was an intentional headbutt are you kidding?

  • peter

^ that was me not vtrobot

Man, Nash is the real ironman. @Teddy: I think what Robin Lopez did was much worse, and more intentional. I don’t think Fish is a bad sport.

Grant Hill’s expression is priceless, though.

eye-nose-throat doctor? So if the Suns went on to the Finals, the throat injury will follow?

    Nice little shot? Seriously?

Bleeding, broken and bruised and refuses to quit – Nash is a warrior. VC on the other hand writhes in pain after the slightlest fall.

Fisher is the epitome of how John Stockton played defense: dirty as hell, but because he was such a great guy, people just overlooked it.
Thatttttt being said, not sure that was on purpose. It’s really hard to tell with Fisher.

Of course it wasn’t intentional. Fish would have to be very stupid if he wanted to hit Nash with his face exposed. If you’re gonna hit someone like that the first thing you do is to lower your head. He was looking for the ball, Nash turned to the right and that was it. That being said, I must say I admire Nash, not only because he’s an amazing player but because he’s such a warrior.

Without a doubt Suns are grabbing the West in 6…Nash is going to battle the Fakers ´til death…hope that Fisher retires after this series has ended

not on purpose but i agree he’s a dirty player.

The only other player in his class that plays with pain and injuries is Kobe.
Like Nash don’t like Kobe but both are warriors.

    Lai Wai
When you say in his “class” do you mean draft class or level of player?
Because, in Ray Allen and Allen Iverson were both in the same draft class as Nash and both have played with injuries.
And, as far as player talent, Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett have regularly played through injuries.
