Video: NYC/LeBron James Campaign

The NYC mayor’s office just unveiled a “C’mon LeBron” campaign looking to bring LeBron to NYC. New Yorkers are encouraged to submit photos, videos and tweets to the site.

somehow, as a Knicks fan, I’m more ashamed of this than all those losing seasons.

    Ghey.

I can’t watch this video because I’m at work and videos are disabled on these computers….and in this case, man am I thankful! Richard Daley, you better not embarrass the Chi with your own vid!

  • PlanetAsia14

    Haha, this is quite funny.

    Long live The King.

  • Chris

This was ridiculous! I want Lebron to be in NY as much the next Knicks fan… But this was cheesy and most likely counter-productive to him actually coming…

  • deano

    Nets = best fit

    CDR
    Devin Harris
    Courtney Lee
    Terrence Williams
    Brook Lopez

a pretty darn good team on paper, but with a gaping hole that Bron would do a decent job filling. That would be the perfect situation aside from Cleveland

  • price

the c’mon son link is way more entertaining

  • Rachel

“Don’t just make New York history… make world history.”

    Wow.

  • CARTEL

I’m from NY and I must admit…I’M EMBARRASSED AS HELL!!!…smh

  • NJ4Life

As a Nets fan I know this vid is supposed to include us, but ny is not nj and when it comes to this “begging” from the mayor I’m proud to be a Jerseyan.

  • 6marjons

id prefer him to stay in cleveland but to a person with no die hard passion for any real team apart from the game of basketball itself it doesn’t matter where he ends up really, but some of the cities residents should be embarassed by the way they are worshipping the ground he walks on, this video is a perfect example, i bet many NYC residents are just getting pissed off with the begging that is taking place.

  • C-Lo_The_Great

hahahaha new york needs to stop begging on their knees for lebron
im from chicago and im embarrassed for them
o well whatever gets lbj to chicago without losing our dignity im all for
    GO BULLS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Scottie Pimpin’

sorry but the lebron to chicago promo video was ALOT better and had a bit more class, just like Chicago City, DAAAAA BULLS !

  • Skawt

    this is sad

Please. Does anyone else (I dont care what team your a fan of) think all this hype to convert LeBron is getting wayyy to overplayed? C’mon LeBron?!?! C’mon America? What happened? All this for one player? I know hes a beast and all but this is getting out of hand. Let LeBron just think on his own!

  • http://www.kb24.com The Seed

WHAT IS AMERICA COMING TOO? This is very very very sad, this ringless King isn’t close to the King James Version, that book had a real Father, weres Lebron, a Son who truly change the World and something Holy, that Lebron just seems to far below menatliy to understand. Using a quote from the good book is just sad. What shall it profit Lebron if you gain the whole world and lose your soul, nothing because I know you are very prideful Idol to these gentiles that will do anything to touch your garment or watch you perform in an arena, but that will one day all come crashing down and Lebron will realize he really wasn’t what people thought he was. BOOK IT in TEN YEARS!!

  • John Starks

As a former and loyal Knick, Im quite embarressed

  • John Starks

Mike Bloomberg……Did he just did that?

  • John Starks

Did this dude just did this?

  • The Philosopher

To the general masses: To anyone who is STILL argues the validity of this young king’s kingdom, they shall take notice AND witness, for this is truly and genuinely unheard of. The REAL king of The Greatest City on Earth (I had previously stated Mike Francesa as king of New York) is doing a video to court The King. Unreal…but, it IS real because THIS video comfirms it. Kobe’s NEVER had THAT kind of influence over the mass gentile audience. Michael didn’t either. Michael Bloomberg AND BARAK Obama… BLOOMBERG AND OBAMA are courting The King.

  • The Philosopher

    **arguing**

  • http://lastknickstanding.blogspot.com Bryan

    disgraceful

  • http://thetroyblog.com Teddy-the-Bear

A little sad and embarrassing, yes, but if he comes to New York we can forget this EVER happened…

  • http://thetroyblog.com Teddy-the-Bear

Right now I will be VERY pleased with Joe Johnson in New York. LeBron would be awesome, but realistically I never though Joe Johnson would leave the Hawks until these playoffs started… Knicks need a perimeter leader/scorer. Bottom line.
David Lee or Amare or Boozer or whoever else, at least keep one.

  • The Philosopher

With all due respect, Teddy, because believe me, I do respect you, it doesn’t matter what anyone does until The King says so.

  • Shem

This is plain embarassing. Knicks fans should wear bags on their heads after this. The Clippers and Knicks with their little parades and commercials for LeBron are just ridiculous. Show some pride, if he wants to come he will and if he doesn’t, he won’t.. most likely won’t. Your stupid C’mon LeBron commercials won’t change his mind.

  • http://www.slamonline.com J

    wow.. super… lame.

  • The Philosopher

Shem: Even if Knicks fans wore bags over their heads, it wouldn’t hide the fact that LeBron is the end all be all of basketball right now. This kid has parades all over the entire United States in his honor to come play for their team. Kobe’s doorstep was the icing on the cake for me when they marched in unison wooing AND courting The King IN Los Angeles, California U.S.A. In Kobe’s back yard, AND in the Greatest City in The World. Long live The King. Respectfully.

  • http://www.hibachi20.blogspot.com Hursty

lol. I feel awkward watching that. As a foreigner.

  • http://www.slamonline.com Pardeep

Just read this article, it would be INSANE if it happened: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/400422-the-new-york-knicks-need-to-sign-allen-iverson

  • T-Money

this is actually worse than the ”we are lebron video”. kinda sad and desperate. that’s actually beyond his control though, he can’t be blamed for NYC losing its collective mind.

  • e

this is pathetic to begin with and than he wants to use bible references smh disrespecting God and his use of the great leader moses

  • underdog

Now, that’s embarassing. Funny how far people ready to sink to kiss some star athlete a$$. Imho, NYC is among the top10 coolest cities of the planet. If LeBron doesn’t want to play there, that’s his loss. But new yorkers should have some pride and not begging…

  • http://twitter.com/jtrain73 Jon

C’mon Lebron! We need you so so bad!

  • http://staticseth.blogspot.com Seth

    This is getting pathetic.

  • Nashty

the people who live in NY and say they are ashamed of this ad are the same group of people who would jump in front of a TV, shrieking as Lebron announced he would be donning a Knicks jersey next season.

  • Chris

Nashty^^ There is a difference between a getting excited over a great player coming to your team and being so desperate for any good player to make a stupid video like this.
