Video: Ray Allen’s Eight Threes

Jesus made it rain indoors last night. In doing so, he set an NBA Finals record for threes in a half (7) and game (8).

LA fans just witnessed Shuttlesworth’s greatness.. nobody on the lakers can stay with him. NOBODY.. and don’t say Kobe, think he’s going to waist energy chasing Ray off screens? nope.. they better trade Shannon for JJ in time for game 3 ahahaha

i swear he has the prettiest form.

Right up until the postseason, I was one of those idiots who had been vociferously calling for the C’s to dump Ray Allen based on his virtual no-shows in playoffs past. But, last night, Jesus Shutmeupplesworth. Big-time.

Ray’s eyes get real wide at 3:00. Kobe seemed like he had no idea Ray was gonna pop out for Rondo.

Kobe knew, he just had to fight around a screen with a guy who is on fire. Kobe has been lit for 60 point by Gilbert Arernas so this really isn’t that suprising. Kobe has never been able to shut down players who are on fire.

the third 3 that Allen shot was only so easy because Fisher got caught trying to flop on the screen but it didnt work cos Allen faked taking the screen! maybe fisher should just play the game!

Shuttlesworth going off and Nate dropping N-bombs…the spirit of Seattle hoops manifesting itself in the Finals!

Nobody’s going to stop someone in the zone like that. MJ in his prime probably couldn’t do it. Ray is one of the best jump shooters in history, and if he’s on, he’s going to get his. It’s a good thing he’s in great shape because he gets such lift off his jumper. If he ever gets tired (which I’ve never seen) his stroke might suffer from weak legs.

the amazing thing is that it’s not only a matter of him being hot; it’s more about him getting open. when you’re that good a shooter that’s all you need. games where he’s “cold” are usually, but not always, games where the team’s not moving the ball properly and he’s not getting good looks. but if they’re moving the ball well and he keeps getting open, he’s unstoppable.

Ray does get tired (last night) but he’s smart enough to ask for a breather. I think his legs got a bit tired near the end b/c he was playing so much d along with running around all night to get open. Just a couple of months ago some fans thought it better to trade Ray. hahhahahaha

  • vtrobot

he looked a little tired (understandably) when he shot that air ball towards the end of the game. dude is so ill.
