SLAMTV: Exclusive Doc Rivers Q+A

Our man Aggrey Sam caught up with Doc Rivers down in Orlando. Doc was gracious enough to answer questions about his son Austin, Team USA basketball and LeBron James and the Miami Heat. Pay careful attention to the end, when Rivers shares his feelings on Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson’s recent anti-LeBron-to-the-Heat comments. Otherwise…you can find more of Aggrey’s interview with Doc, and more of Aggrey in general, over at CSN Chicago.

Doc Rivers might be one of the coolest coaches in the NBA. Yeah, I said “coolest”. Because he is. People always say he got lucky with because of the players he has, but don’t forget about the job he did with the Magic, really enjoyed him back then. Even if he’s leaving in 2011, when he decides to return teams will be lining up to sign him.

I haven’t heard the whole thing yet but I respect Doc and his opinions. I go way back with him (not that he’d remember. lol) when he used to come to Boston as a High School player trying to destroy us. lol.

I just listened to the entire thing and my opinions do not change…He was so forthcoming and honest that not even the purist Celtics haters can complain about anything he had to say from start to finish. With that said I guess this will be a very short thread since hate won’t stick here. lol. ooops, I just gave up ammunition.
