Video: Chris Thomas @ adidas Super 64

We’ve seen Chris Thomas hoop more than most, and we’re convinced he has the talent to top the Class of 2013. The rising sophomore gets to the cup with laughable ease and cans threes like he was born to make it reign. This summer, he’s buoyed himself to five-star designations and top-5 statuses in every national recruiting service’s rankings (including SLAMonline’s upcoming Fresh 10).

The Denver native is without question Colorado’s most hyped prospect since Chauncey Billups. He’s already been offered scholarships by Ohio State, Michigan State, Arizona and California, with Tennessee allegedly his current top choice. If he wants to put in the work, the sky’s the limit.

Nice…needs to get that elbow in on that jumper. Those three pointers get more difficult to hit when you start moving up to the next levels. Bringing the elbow in decreases the wasted motion.

Good call on the elbow coming in. He has some work to do on the jumpshot. The taunting will hopefully decrease. Competition wise, he put 25 on the Indiana Elite (#1 16U team in the country) in Double Pump Summer Kick off in Denver. Garbage? Slow? Wow. I guess Ohio State, Michigan State, Arizona, California, Tennessee, and the other 13 major D1s that have offered this young man a scholarship don’t think he’s garbage or slow. I guess he wouldn’t be this good without the haters. Keep an eye on this young fella!
