For Old Time’s Sake: Kenny Anderson

Kenny Anderson STAND UP. Before Steph and Lance came around, Chibbs was NYC’s Finest. He starred in high school then at GA Tech and was drafted 2nd overall by the Nets in 1991. With top notch court vision, sick handles, and great ability to break down defenses, Chibbs was a crowd favorite. He was most famous in NYC where he held the state scoring record until Sebastian Telfair eclipsed it in 2004. He and Derrick Coleman formed a dynamic tandem for the Nets in the early 90s before Kenny was traded to the Hornets. STAY REAL.

    Kenny Anderson=original Brandon Jennings

  • Martey

One of my favorite guards of all time. Queens New York stand up!!! He still has his mural on the Lefrak city wall of fame, out here in New York, with the wizard hat on. One of those forgotten point guards because he literally never had a team in the NBA, despite playing for like a dozen. Good defender, Great scorer, plus had Spinderella on the arm.

  • The Philosopher

In his prime he was borderline Hall Of Fame material.

I wouldn’t mention Lance in the same sentence with Steph and Kenny. Not yet.

@Underdog, I think they mean in terms of High School domination/expectations. Not entire career.

Even though Kenny was great, and i loved him as a player, it’s sad how you forget that Coleman and Kenny were sidekick’s to great Drazen Petrovic.

You don’t remember that Reggie Miller said ‘There is only one shooter in history better than me his name is Drazen

damn i forgot all about kenny anderson.

  • scott lawson

Kenny and Coleman were quite the force back in the day. Boston had Kenny when he was near the end of his powers… gave up Chauncy Billups for him.

Lets see some Isiah Thomas video’s now. Kenny mentioned with Isiah Thomas back in the day was a joke. I am going to keep it real, Kenny was all right, but he never set himself up in the NBA. Isiah was one of the toughest point scoring guard ever. Plus I love the fact he froze MJ out and told Larry he gets love because he is white. But Isiah best comment if I was 6 foot 6 like MJ, I would be the greatest ever. BOOK IT!!!

Kenny Anderson was VERY BRIEFLY The Man. Too bad he was mainly known to be a oft-times selfish loser for the majority of his career.

there is only one reason i remember the name Bobby Hurley
