Videos: Pippen, Malone, Dream Team HOF Speeches

The Naismith Hall of Fame Class of 2012 was inducted last night. An incredible number of basketball legends graced the crowd with acceptance speeches, but none were bigger (and more emotional) than those of Karl Malone, Scottie Pippen, and Magic Johnson and Larry Bird (on behalf of the ’92 Olympic Dream Team).

    KARL MALONE SPEECH WAS GREAT AND TOUCHING. PIPPEN WAS GOOD AND YOU CAN TELL HE STILL LOOKS UP TO MICHAEL. MAGIC WAS HIS ULTIMATE SHOWTIME SELF DURING THE DREAMTEAM SPEECH. AND BIRD WELL….THROWS A DAGGER AT 1960 TEAM IN PURE LARRY LEGEND FORM. TRUELY THE GREATEST TEAM EVER ASSEMBLED

    I was never a big fan of Karl Malone the player, but his country-azz-true-as-they-come personality was even bigger than his biceps. Scottie one of the most versatile players ever, a great winner and maybe, just maybe the best perimeter defender to ever lace them up. Bird & Magic just pure class and gotta love them throwing in the ‘new sherif in town’-anecdote just gotta love Mike’s drive, also interesting to see that among all these greats there is never any doubt as to who the GOAT is. Thanks for posting this SLAM – the Mike of magazines.

    Speaking of Kukoc: a couple of days ago when I saw this little interview with him, I had to blink twice to make sure it was him…. not trying to be an ass and I know there are more important things in the world but…. he looks like an old man now.
