Slamadaday: Chiz Onuora on Birmingham Tigers [EBL]

We bring you to a tiny gym in the northwest England town of Bootle. It’s a rainy Sunday, October 3 afternoon at the Fernhill Sports Centre, where the Sefton Stars and Birmingham Tigers (English Basketball League Division 3) are battling in the fourth quarter. Who said the first Slamadaday of ’10-11 couldn’t come from an amateur English league? Yes, instead it’s Chiz Onuora, the Stars’ 6-3 forward, who pulls this dunk-and-taunt in final stanza of a 62-59 win.

    This dude played on the Everton Tigers team I saw play in Liverpool a few years back. EBL D3 is sub NCAA D3, but nice finish nonetheless.
