Slamadaday: Stephane Lasme on Andrea Bargnani

If you’re trying to make a team, this isn’t a bad way to go about doing that. On the flip, if you’re trying to lead a team, this isn’t the end of the poster you want to be on.

    It’s rare when one play in the preseason foreshadows everything that a team can come to expect for the coming season. That dunk is the embodiment of the Raptors’ futility.

    Hope Lasme makes the team. The C’s could use an athletic SF. Bargnani looked good when teams were doubling off him to guard Bosh. He’s going to have to adjust to defenses keying in on him…

    I tried to find Andrea’s measured vertical jump, but it does not seem to be recorded anywhere. That, or it really is 0.

    @Ben, Tony Gaffney (Umass) was on the Celtics roster last season (for the playoffs at least). They just released him the other day though.

    Coming from a Raptor fan I can’t stand Andrea Bargnani. He really doesn’t give a crap about defense unless he’s scoring. He’s going to have a lot of trouble with that since Bosh is no longer there to attract double teams. Bargs is going to regress mightly this season. Anyways all the better we’ll be getting a high pick in the draft plus a late first rounder. Hopefully we can get a good PG and C.

    Same goes for New York, Chicago, and a few other cities.
    Some towns wear bags on their faces when the going gets tough.

    @Philosopher, you’re wrong about Boston not wearing bags. Check the tapes during the season before they landed Shuttlesworth and KG. I’m with you on giving props to those die-hard fans though.
