Video: JaVale McGee Plays D and O

JaVale McGee  looks mad awkward sometimes. And sometimes he looks like a future All-Star. One thing’s for sure, though. He always is the most athletic 6-11/7-0 guy on the court. Here’s just another example of that from last night’s preseason game between New York and Washington.

Nice play, but shouldn’t Javale have gotten a tech for that fist pump?

  • M3Ls Posted: Oct.18 at 10:52 am
That fist pump should have gotten him ejected for the first 10 games of the season. Way too much emotion. /sarcasm

One of these days he’s gonna make a GTFOH block on Dwight Howard. Book it!!!! (as the Seed would say)

Hyperathlete, he’s going to get some major minutes this year. He and Dra’ Blatche are going to be tough covers on a nightly basis throughout the league. So much talent

Oh naw Slam he’s a legit 7’0″ he’s about 2 inches taller than Yi from what I can see.

    wiz fan here.
JaVale is such a frustrating player to watch. From this vid you can see his extreme athleticism and potential. On the other hand, he still doesn’t rebound all that well or consistently, and he needs A LOT of work on his fundamentals, both offensively and defensively. In short, he’s very very raw and doesn’t have very high BBIQ. I still love him, but he has a long way to go before he can be considered a legit solid center who doesn’t just rely on athleticism, dunks and blocks to get by.

It’s still so damn weird seeing Hinrich in a non-Bulls uni. Dude still gets mad love in the Chi though.

    Lol, Hinrich.
Only noticed he was in the video the second time I watched it.

McGee is always the biggest guy on the court, by far it seems. I remember watching him last season and thinking it was a mistake when they said he was 7 feet tall, because he seemed way taller compared to the other guys out there. Hopefully he can put it all together and have a nice year without breaking in half like other tall dudes seem to do.
