Prep Video: Nick Johnson Skys for the Smash

Findlay Prep’s Nick Johnson (headed to Arizona for college) had not one but two ill dunks against IMG academy. Like his teammate Myck Kabongo said, “Nick has a bounce like I’ve never seen in my life.” (Thanks to BIL for the film)

one of the most underrated. known strictly as a defensive stopper but he’s gunna really thrive in Arizona. He’s gunna be a good one.

  • ch

  • biged

  • jarrett

he’s an overrated player with low fundamentals… because thats a travel

  • mmayland

    ahhhhh…..gotta love the haters…..
    low fundamentals?
    have you watched this kid?
same game – he had 9 rebounds, 7 assists, and went 5 for 6 from the arc….

  • the truth

yea one travel makes you an overrated player with low fundamentals lol nice insight jarrett

  • Coach D

No travel. get up on your basketball knowledge and then say something. One of the best in his class.

  • lupe

He dribbled before his established pivot foot (his right foot) left the floor, making a fine move. He did not travel, he just flew

  • andreanglais

that might be a travel – not at the start of the move, which was a beauty fake and sweet ‘bang-bang’ dribble, but at the end it looked like maybe he took 1 extra step – who cares?! Thats a nice move and flat out huge explosion to the rim.

definitely raised the pivot before releasing the ball…but heck, do you really expect to get that call in HS???

  • rex81

    he looka lika a travla!

That first dunk was sponsored by Southwest Airlines.

  • Bimmer

That first dunk was the slowest dunk ever. It just seemed like it was slo mo.

  • Cizzo

I remember watching him last year on ESPN U,talk your ass off this kid has some unrivaled body contol…. Reminmdes me of J. Bayless, another one of those and and done kids….

  • Kurino

dude did travel on the first dunk…

The pass on the second dunk is just sick. Soft flick and lookaway spin, very nice.

  • nyymah2k

He traveled. He slide his left pivot foot moving both feet before the ball hit the ground..Good fake though.
