Slam(s)adaday: Blake Griffin Over the NY Knicks
The Knicks may have won the war, 124-115, but Blake Griffin won battle, after battle, after battle. Here’s three of the smashes he had Saturday night en route to dropping 44 points of knowledge on New York.

gallo tell him how his nuts taste
It also should be noted that despite his freakish athleticism, his all-around skills are actually pretty nice which make him so good.
already has more amazing dunks in his first 12 games or so than the rest of the NBA. NBA: Where Blake Happens!
But, we may be looking at the beginning stages of the greatest power forward… of all time.
He is better than Amar’e Stoudemire.
Right now.
Come ON!!
Yes.
Griffin is a better rebounder. A better athlete. He is bigger. He is stronger. He is a better ball handler. He is a better passer. Probably an equal shooter, although that is debatable. Griffin does not have a top flight point guard to get him the ball at the right times consistently. If he did…
In all honesty, one of the only aspects of the game that Amar’e Stoudemire has over Blake Griffin is overall experience. He has been through wars, seen some things. He is a more experienced scorer.
this is not fair
Heehee
IT Was even sicker in person…just a didnt vantage point you cant even see how fast he really was spinning in relationship to game time,….dude didnt even break stride when he spun and dunked on the last one..just amazing
je-sus!!!
You can’t blame that all on Amare. What about Turiaf and Gallo, both of whom play in the paint?
Now, Ronny is a decent defender, but we both know Gallo and Amare create the softest defensive frontcourt in the League.
Dirk. David West. Boozer. Zack Randolph.
Four good/great big men who I believe could let that happen to them.
Agree or disagree?

It wouldn’t happen to Amare with Haywood and Chandler.
That’s a ridiculous comment homie.
Dirk, by himself, would get hosed on defense just like Amare does with the folks surrounding him.
Amare is a poor defender. So is everybody on that list I named. The difference is that they aren’t asked to be the defensive anchor on their teams because everybody knows they aren’t great defenders.
Come on son, that was the point of the list. You plug any of those guys in around the cats on the Knicks right now playing the system Mike D plays, and you get ridiculous performances by opposing big men. This is nothing new for Mike D’s teams.
Where did I say Amare wasn’t lazy. I’ve routinely criticized him for it.
I just named several other big men who are equally as bad as Amare on defense, particularly in one-on-one situations.
Those cats just have the luxury of having other defensive stoppers around them, that’s it.
