Slamadaday: Rajon Rondo on Chris Bosh

If you’re a fan of the Heat, you’re probably mad. If you’re a fan of the game, this is tremendous stuff. About the only positive thing to come out of this game for Chris Bosh, is that he had the best seat in the house for the highlight of the night:

You mad Chris? Cause that should have been a block.

  • Joe A

If the heat never win a championship with this group of players, this is video evidence as to why.

  • http://www.twitter.com/chris_griff_3 Chris_Griff_3

Offensive players are fearless against Chris Bosh. See Kobe’s 81 and Shaq’s 45 at 36 for proof.

  • Flight

Bosh may of well have given Rondo a boost. He watched that all happen.

  • http://staticseth.blogspot.com Seth

Chris, Rajon will be happy to sign the poster for you.

  • CyldeSays

Crazy dunk, Rondo! Bosh gets the poster, but Wade and Z were right there too… Baby set a nice pick on House…

  • TrailBlazing&SportingLisbon

CB4 punked, how that dude averaged 24/11 is a mistery, he looks lost…and fu(king ReggieMiller might ruin 99,9% of the great plays he announces…memo to TNT, keep ruinning the best games of the season with that clown and his silly voice

  • http://slamonline.com JJAkroyd

It’s awesome how high Rondo gets and then forgets completely about landing. Dude takes a beating every time he dunks.

  • mikee

Alonzo Mourning would have at least tried to block that. Actually, he always tried to block EVERYTHING! Bosh seemed to worried about his image to be in that highlight reel.

  • tRay

    That’s just turrible(Charles Barkely voice)

  • http://Www.fiba.com Darksaber

Hey CB, now u have “the good cable”, u can catch this smash over & over again. Enjoy League pass.

  • http://slamonline.com Ben Osborne

Huge props to Rondo, a guy who usually does layups on wide-open breakaways. Bosh though? So effing embarrassing.

  • http://slamonline.com The Black Rick Kamla

    LMAO callin this man earth-bound

  • http://slamonline.com The Black Rick Kamla

Stop raggin on Bosh, he didn’t realize Rondo was gonna jam it, so he waited for the ball to come out of his hands before he jumped knowing if he jumped early Rondo would just find the big man inside for an easy bucket that we would also criticize him about…..Rondo is a BADDDDD MANNN…times like this you really appreciate what Rondo does. The Big 3 in Boston would’ve never succeeded without Rondo’s ability to run the offense, and the absense of a floor general is what is absolutely killing these Miami Heat. Nothing is coming easy for these guys……..Rafer Alston WHERE YOU AT BROTHA???

  • letsmotor

    haha darksaber

  • http://slamonline.com The Black Rick Kamla

@TrailBlazing at some point TNT is going to HAVE to let Charles and Kenny conduct the telecast……well that could get out of hand, either that or PLEASE let Mark and JVG work for both networks….they are a ‘family of networks’ aren’t they lol

  • LA Huey

The way he’s played, the Heat would have been better off with David Lee.

  • robb

Dwayne didn’t do much either you know? They don’t look like a Pat Riley team AT ALL.

  • DonWong

Maybe Bosh has been watching so much League Pass now that he’s not in Toronto anymore, he didn’t realize he was actually supposed to be playing in this game instead of watching it

  • tRay

cosign The Black Rick Kamla & TrailBlaizing
the really should let someone else do the telecast cuz Reggie and Steve Kerr are hella boring on the mic.

  • JTaylor21

TBRK, stop with all that there was a player behind him so he didn’t jump crap. Dude let a 6-1 PG who rarely dunks during games, drop do doo on his head and stood there with a smile like it’s his fetish. I understand if it was DRose, Westbroook, or even prime VC that came down the lane and bosh didn’t jump because he would have a decent excuse but to let rondo do that to him is downright embarrasing. The legend of Chris Posh Spice keeps growning.

  • http://www.twitter.com/TheDiesel Anton

    He absolutely thumped him!

  • http://simonlawy888.blogspot.com Simon Lawy

    enjoy the cable !!

  • burnt_chicken

    He absolutely thubbed em!

  • burnt_chicken

I think Chris Bosh could have done more on that sequence to prevent himself from getting so absolutely thubbed.

  • http://bulls.com airs

i love rondo for that. didn’t know he had it like that though

  • http://www.michaelcho.com M Cho

When I saw that dunk, I knew the C’s were gonna win the game. The Heat had no fire for most of the game, while the Celtics came to sh*t in their faces on every possession.

  • All Day

Looking at the clip again, it seems that Chris Bosh thought Rondo was going in for a lay-up. When Bosh realized that Rondo was attempting a dunk, he tried to push Rondo to prevent him from completing the dunk, but it was too late.

  • tRay

Honestly there is no excuse for this terrible display of defense. I would have lived with Bosh trying to knock Rondo on his a$$ and Rondo dishing of to KG for the slam. At least then Bosh would look like he tried. SMH if it was Charles Oakley or Barkely Rondo would be introducing his A$$ TO THE FLOOR!!

  • mike

    where’s EBOY at?

  • http://www.slamonline.com/ niQ

Wow, if point guards aren’t afraid of dunking on Bosh, what do you think the opposing big men think of him? LOL

  • http://slamonline BossTerry

HaHa, I love the Celtics, people can hate on KG all they want for being a loud-mouth, but the C’s are my 2nd favorite and I hope they continue to dominate Miami..

  • tRay

^^Exactly the Big Ticket was eating everyones lunch out there straight beastin!

  • tavoris

if Bosh had any balls he would put Rondo UNDER the floorboards. Oh well…

As HEAT fan and incredible supporter of the raptors, Chris Bosh disrespected us all by his poor play the past few games. We all know he can play better. Coach S is not letting him take more shots and get more assertive. here’s a memo GET BACK TO GYM CHRIS AND GAIN BACK THE MUSCLES YOU LOST THIS SUMMER PARTYING AND DOING COMMERCIALS.

  • Bruno

    I like chris bosh

  • rich

he could have at least flagrant fouled him….

  • http://SLAMonline.com GotHandles?

  • Maurice Bobb

Rondo’s posterization of Bosh was cruel and unusual punishment and serves as additional proof that Miami as a collective is about as practical as a soup sandwich.

  • http://kb24.com Bigi

    Wheaties. Bosh take notes…

  • James aka…

They need a defensive 1 and 5 to make this team make sense. Bosh’s strength is irrelevant with wade and lebron on the floor, and his weakness is exposed. yikes.

  • Jeff H

Haha laughing about Reggie Miller getting called out as an awful announcer. Very true though he is tough to listen to.

  • letsmotor

wow, James with the extremely concise description of what’s wrong with this team. couldn’t agree more, man. you look at the Celtics’ starting lineup (and most of their bench), and every one of them is a very good (in some cases, great) defender–not at all the case with the heat. i know the heat are, by numbers, the league’s best defensive team, but their defense also has some serious holes, and those holes will continue to be exploited by certain teams.

  • estoniandude

    And-one should it have been

  • James aka…

Its wierd because bosh is a decent athlete, and I’ve seen him use that well on the defensive end (like when he planted Richard Jefferson into the ground in the playoffs 3 or 4 years ago). But he makes very basic mistakes. he bites on fakes very easy, he’s passive on rotations and considering his lateral quickness and armspan, he’s very slow on rotations, and he’s affraid to take fouls.

  • BostonBaller

Hey fam, it’s been a while. Hard play by RR and soft one by Bosh, not if’s and’s or but’s. This dunk does not make or break the season for either team so let’s just enjoy it for what it was. A CRUSH on Bosh who actually fouled on the play. Let’s not say well LBJ and Wade were there too..NO, it was Bosh. …and why are people surprised when RR bangs it on someone? You see those hands and it’s not his first facial. Have fun Fam

  • http://www.need4sheed.com Tarzan Cooper

Bosh and mia played poor defense here, but that was by no means a dunk ON bosh. Not even close. Rondo dunked on an open rim.

  • D

it was also Big Z’s fault..just sayin..

  • Blackphantom

Chris Bosh is softer than Charmin tissue paper

  • flipnoyce

Bosh probably thought Rondo was going for a lay up, NOTTTT. If some of you’ll don’t know RONDO has some crazy hops and then some. He DUNKed on Dwight and Shaq some time ago so don’t be fooled by his size. Hmmmmmm I wonder if some people still believe the Heat is the team to beat. Oh, don’t break a leg jumping off the wagon, yikkkkkes!!!

  • http://celticknightk3@aol.com Celtic Knight

It is what it is… Folks you cannot change or lighten the fact that 6’1 skinny guard name RR made the slamadaday on the power forward Chris Bosh. You watch it over and over it is the most utterly embarresment in CB history. This reminds me when MJ did the similiar dunk on Patrick Ewing. Roooooooooooooonnnnnnnnndddddooooooooo!!!

  • http://celticknightk3@aol.com Celtic Knight

Rondo I love you man! I believe you and Bob Cousy are the very best PG in Boston history ever! No disrespect to DJ and JoJo White they were awesome!

  • JTJ

how can bosh be slower than big z?

    “you got to get involved!”

  • james

  • http://slamonline.com riggs

@tarzan: umm so why in the hell are chris bosh’s arms on rondo in the picture?

  • BBaller

What about how Bosh screamed after the dunk when the score was 35 – 51! No one else seemed share his sentiment. That was embarrassing. Bosh needs to man up real quick and stop being a fairy forward.More respect goes to guy who is getting dunked on and actually tries to put a body against the offensive player. But Bosh knew he would be on a highlight reel and ended up looking worse.

  • All Day

Chris Bosh played on a team that we hardly saw play on TV and that no one really paid attention to. Now he’s on a team that’s under a microscope and we can see the flaws in his game. Because the offense ran through Chris in Toronto, he was able to put up all star numbers, but his team was mediocre. Chris is not an elite NBA player. Kenny Smith uses a phrase to describe players that put up all star numbers on a mediocre or bad team…a looter in a riot.

  • All Day

If Chris can consistently put up the same numbers in Miami that he put up in Toronto, then he can be called an all star…however I don’t see that happening because guys are more physical when playing against him and he’s too soft.

  • flipnoyce

Bosh is softer than Ray Ray’s jumpshot, just sayin. Just look at his facial expression!!!

  • Harlem_World

Be careful what you ask for Bosh – you might not like it when you get it. Big 3? GTFOH…More like 2.5. CB really starting to live up to Shaqs Rupaul ish…

  • http://the-whiz.tumblr.com DSM

    You think that was bad?

Check out this dunk on Bosh by Paul Pierce. But I guess because it wasn’t on US National TV it never happened.

  • http://nicekicks.com meloman2.0

god i loved reggie as a player…. but please, please…. stop letting him call games

  • money

  • blackmamba247

rajon rondo WITH NO REGARD FOR HUMAN LIFE!!!

  • BostonBaller

Hwere is one of the dunks:

  • Love4Humanity

Lot of ridin on Slam. I’m starting to think lots of you know nothing about basketball

  • yup

Rondo doesn’t even jump that high, he just has long arms
