Video: Paul Pierce Breaks Hearts at MSG

Pierce said there’s no rivalry between these two squads — KG also completely, and correctly, dismissed the idea — but he took enormous pleasure in knocking down this game winner in front of a raucous Garden crowd. (Oh, and word to Nate Robinson for nearly killing himself during the celebration):

    Eff you victory lap!

  • Blue

Donkey almost killed himself. Where was Shrek?

  • Nashty

    Nate’s fall > Pierce’s shot

This game was very similar to the 76ers game except KG hit the game winner. Nate jumped on KG back. Nate tried to do the same thing to Paul Pierce. Pierce was like nah Nate this is my time to shine. They could have been another injury to the already depleted Celtics Roster. Got to give it to Doc Rivers and the Celtics. They want that title. Great game last night. Miami vs the Knicks should be just as entertaining. Will New York fans boo Lebron…!!!!????

nate needs to chill on the piggy backing

I don’t think I’ve ever been prouder to be a Knicks fan than I was last night. We played the best team in the league to a draw, damn near. Gallo, Landry, Chandler, and Felton can all play. Oh my goodness, we have a future with or without Melo. I want to cry, lol.

yeah, there might not be a “rivalry” but these teams hate each other. that was a very hard fought, sh*t-talking-filled game. it’s nice to be able to get excited for every BOS/NY game in the foreseeable future. STAT is scary. his jumpers scare me almost more than his dunks. f*ck yes LBJ is going to get booed tomorrow night.

things too high in this game. 1 – nate’s celebration jump 2. rondo’s fade.

    Paul Pierce is clutch!

Paul Pierce is going to Disney World!

still don’t like pierce very much. and that was an offensive foul

  • mp73

Pierce has hit several clutch shots before during his great career….so no need for the douche-y antics afterwards.

  • alex80

    Pierce took STAT to school.

  • 2dope

Great game and in no possible way was that an offensive foul. Scary to think that the knicks played a near perfect game, the Celts were missing 4 major players, Rondo played on one leg, and still beat the knicks.

Nate nearly breaking his neck for the sake of trying to jump on Pierce’s back was funny as hell.

That could have easily been called an offensive foul actually. Melo got called for the same thing against the Knicks this week down the stretch.

I’m loving Paul Pierce this year. From taking his talents to south beach to the new york “this ain’t no rivalry” victory lap.

Why are people so put off by people celebrating. It was a great shot, to win the game in the Garden. I loved the victory lap and bowing. It makes the game fun in my opinion. Just because he’s hit clutch shots before doesn’t make it any less exciting for him.

And that definitely been called an offensive foul, but it wasn’t so its a moot point.

if that was an offensive foul, then Manu committed an offensive foul and traveled.
Melo’s offensive foul was bogus, he just got that because he has a rep for being a bully.

some of you guys think that’s an offensive foul? really?

  • cj

    hahaha friggin love nate

  • L

I’m a knick fan and i have to say that if it is an offensive then that MJ over Bryon Russell in 98 was a flagrant one…Come on this was a fun game to watch even with the frustrating ending. Still it’s good to have a competitive team in the garden once again!! L

  • ClydeSays

That was a cold blooded shot by Pierce. Hard to tell from that angle, but it looks like Pierce’s jab step forces Amare back. Didn’t look like a push. Great game. It’s funny that no one noticed KG bowing at around 37 secs. There must have been alot of jawing from the players and crowd to get Pierce hyped enough to do that lap. He usually just fist pumps and goes to the tunnel after a win…
