Joel Anthony had himself a statistically notable — if curious — night, but all anyone will (and should) remember is what happened when he failed to stop a charging and leaping Josh Smith:

Would have been one of the best of the year if he would have landed on his feet. Joel got on a good poster.
haha i love how helpless dude was.. miami is in extreme need of a decent center who can actually play some above average d
Josh Smith must be a man of the cloth, cause Joel got baptized.
I almost fell off my chair when I saw that Joel Anthony grabbed 16 rebounds. Jason Collins must have been watching from the bench in awe.
Ooops I forgot he was lefthanded.
Take it !!
I have to say Montreal’s own Joel had an amazing game but this was just disrespectful.
Great pass, great finish. TV was down yesterday. Glad Slam can help oblige me with hoops highlights.
I have to say i really appreciate the non homerish announcing of that play. Its nice to hear the home announcer excited for the opposing teams great play. Heinsholm would have probably lamented the landing (and not the way Eboy did praising it but for the landing)
an elbow to the face and getting roundhouse dunked on = worst life
Co-sign James. Let that have been on the Bulls and Stacy King would have said it was an offensive foul. I appreciate the contest by Joel, he was playing tough last night. How many times have Mutumbo and Mourning gotten crammed on and they’re two of the greatest shot blockers of all time.
Nothing wrong with homer announcers. Bob Rathbun and Dominique Wilkins are about as homerific as announcers get. It’s too bad this dunk with their commentary isn’t up on Youtube anywhere. Rathbun practically came in his pants when this happened.
