Video: Arron Afflalo Hits the Game-Winner

Carmelo Anthony had the big numbers (42 points), but after he fouled out, it was Afflalo who emerged the hero for the Nuggets last night:

    What a stupid, stupid loss. Melo and Billups were en fuego but so was the Mavs bench and they couldn’t protect a 7pt lead with less than 2 mins to go? The damn Nuggets thrive on high scoring games, i mean play some D, Mavs.
    Jason Kidd got Chauncey to pick up his dribble and look for a bailout pass (excellent D btw) but Marion was nappin/gaping at the ball. One pass away, deny the freaking passing lane, Shawn. Man.

    …I’mma be real right now, this kid just might be my favorite player. He just does about everything right, he sticks his guy on D. Gets down court and drills everything. If Carmelo does decide to leave, I want him to have a starting spot. He is in that class with the best shooters in the game, I’m not sure that was on his bill coming out of UCLA, but he has really evolved into one of the great shooters in the league. That means the kid is working HARD. And his athleticism will surprise you too.

    Afflalo is solid. He plays decent defense and has a sweet jump shot. He gets open looks though because of Billups and Anthony. He needs to play alongside stars like Carmelo Anthony for other teams to underestimate him.
    Quite a decent pick up for my ESPN fantasy team too. :)

    Denver has so much more potential and talen at the moment then NY. Melo should just stay and try to win a championship now, rather than 3 years (even being competible) in NY. They have some talent to move and get some solid players.
