Video: Jason Kidd’s Hits Game-Winner Against Celtics

Ray Allen‘s quote after the game was so good, we’ll give it to you again: “I’ll be in my bed thinking about how I never should’ve left Jason Kidd open.”

And the dagger of the night:

Nice pump-fake.. I remember early on Kidd couldn’t hit a jumper if his life depended on it..

Im glad boston lost….he traveled. I didnt think so at first, but he shuffles his feet

  • Hyxas

Funny, in europe this would be a traveling violation. It just keeps more flow in the game I guess, hence more attractive, more spectators, more money etc etc..

  • KwamePooh

    cold-blooded *chappelle voice*

  • JTaylor21

    F*ck euroball.

  • Fat Lever

That was actually an excellent play, but not greatly executed(Terry with the bad pass to Dirk). I wish someone would have talked smack to these guys after hitting that 3.

  • Heals

Bitter loss, repeat of he L in Dallas: Up 6/7 with under 3 mins to go and the offense dried up…

  • Redirkulous Kidd

  • slamfan4life

Dope as hell! I knew he’d do well when I saw him rocking the same white dre beats as me lol, and with another C’s loss brings the Bulls only closer to that #1 spot!

  • http://slamonline.com Ugh

Yeah, he does actually lift the left foot. That is a travel.

  • Crustified-Jalepino

It’s J Kidd though. cmon. He money now.

  • riggs

    wow nice travel refs.

  • 2KInsider

He travelled, but Ray and Reggie travel on every three they take. If both those guys had to catch the ball in a correct jump stop, they would have never hit so many threes in their careers.

  • http://thetroyblog.com Teddy-the-Bear

Actually, in the NBA that’d be a travel too. According to the rule book, at least. Great shot by Kidd though; a smart play all around.

    i love seeing boston lose
    4 all stars psh
ps he didnt travel he moved only one foot rooks

  • Hyxas

I know it’s a travel in the NBA as well, it’s just that the refs don’t call them. One of the major problems for Americans playing in europe; travel violations. I don’t see many euro-players being called for travel. But great shot anyway form Kidd!!

  • Hyxas

Sorry, no travel? Who is the rookie….? Go see the video and you’ll know who the rookie is.

    @Fat Lever
You talk smack to guys when they just hit a game winner against you?
You must be a player to laugh about.

    @Fat Lever
You talk smack to guys that just hit a game winner against you?
    Must be an absurd scene.

Euro Ball to NBA = Young money to Hip-Hop… yeah thats low but f**k it…

  • http://sdfklf.com Jukai

In Euro-ball, you’re allowed to pretty much set screens on the move and grab people’s jerseys at will. I’m always shocked when people from Europe complain about the refereeing in America, especially after the awful officiating that we saw in the Worlds: sure, the US team got away with a lot of travel calls and slapping of the hands, but I saw so many times some Europe guys (and the brazillian team, damn!) pulling jerseys and pretty much setting picks on the sprint and the refs just didn’t call anything.
I mean, FIBA refs are terrible. But hey, they call travels!

  • http://upandfresh.eu frednetick

There would never be a travelling in Europe.

Hand is part of the ball Jukai.
Even when the player doesn’t have the ball.

  • Fat Lever

Speedy, I was talking about DAL talking smack to Boston, since you know, a few players on Boston talk smack all the time. It’s really not that hard to figure out what I was talking about. You must be a person to laugh at, like all the time.

  • http://klatschendom.wordpress.com/ speedy

    @ Jukai
Europeans also complain about refereeing in Europe if it is bad.
What I find really interesting is that such a basic and clear rule like traveling gets ignored that consistently in the NBA.

  • http://klatschendom.wordpress.com/ speedy

Sorry Fat Lever that I didn’t understand you right but the only two persons you talk about in your comment are Terry and Dirk, so I thought you meant them with: ‘these guys’.

  • http://slamonline.com niQ

I like how he has a “I’m a little tea pot” pose after the shot. LOL

  • Jude

  • http://slamonline.com Allenp

A moving screen is a basic call. Each league let’s certain things.go to promote a particular brand of basketball. I watched the world championship and I would rather watch the nba.

  • marc

I wonder what these refs are looking at during the game? That was a travel. At first I didnt notice it until I saw his feet shuffle. Good pump fake though
