Video: Nick Young Converts the Improbable 360 Finish

Blake Griffin had the dunk of the night, but Nick Young clearly had the play of the night:

First. And LA should of went for him with a trade when they had the chance. Would have been a good back up for Kobe.

This guy is always spinning in the air, im sure he practices this move.. Not the 1st time we’ve seen him do this..

  • D-Block

LOL! Only Nick Young! I don’t care if all he can do is score, he’s still one of my favorite players in the league. SC stand up!!!

  • rob stewart

Better than any dunk this year

  • c.a.

@rob stewart This was a dunk. Haven’t you heard? You don’t have to touch the rim anymore. Just ask D-12 and Blake. You just have to be by the basket, and chuck it in.

  • rich

he can be a spot up shooter as well, im sure if he was a on a good team he could play some defense

Terrence Williams tried a similar 180-layup last night. And missed terribly. Ball bounced off glass and didn’t get close to touching rim. He badly missed a shot on the prior possession, and turned it over on the very next.

I remember Arenas saying he had the it factor when he wrote his blogs back in the day and he’s showing it now.

  • Jono

@Jer Boi Dosen’t that just seem so long ago? The NBA was a better place with the old gil and melo/lebron in their original teams.

I saw J.R. Rider do that move while he was in Minnesota.

i suggest next year, instead of having a dunk contest…they should have a layup contest: nick young vs jr smith doing 360 layups

@ frm, throw in d rose and monta and that would be sick

  • horsey

the audio of the entire crowd’s collective “ohh” while the ball is in the air makes this video way better. JR Rider was amazing though.

  • al

this is sick, reminds me of early nick van excel with his spinning layups.

One of the pure scorers that know one knows about

I agree this is way more impressive than Amare or Griffin doing uncontested dunks. Not to take away from dunking, but nothin beats a circus shot.

  • ryan

Nice play by the Young fella. Nice because he needed to do it to score and because he finished it. The spin on Shawn Marion at the beginning was pretty bad ass as well.

    Pretty sick

I live in Baltimore so I get to see all the Wizards games and man, Nick Young is talented. He can score any way, pull ups, step backs, driving to the hole, 3s on the break. If he can get t o a good team, watch out. He gave Miami 38 the other night, and it was a close game no garbage buckets. And if all thats not enough, you gotta love the fro!

  • Kadavour

Nick is the most slept on scorer in the league. He can get buckets on ANYONE. Doesn’t pass and doesn’t play defense, but he’s def a top 5 one-on-one scoring talent

  • larry brown

Go comb your hair funny boy. Nick Young, play good D. And is a great scorer. And one of the most exciting player to watch in the NBA.
