Video: Ball Up Crew Puts On Crazy Show!

Check out crazy highlights from the first Ball Up game of the streetball season featuring Air Up There, Professor, AO, Springs, Pat The Roc, Special FX, Kenny Dobbs, Bone Collector and Sik Wit It. The game, set to air in early April, was dedicated to the memory of Troy “Escalade” Jackson.

ballers!!! Gotta love seeing these cats back at it. Pat Da Roc got the most creative handle I’ve ever seen, and AO for my money is one of the best ball handlers in streetball history. Glad seeing these cats back at it. It’d be cool to see a full reunion though

@Eboy you don’t think that was scripted? They’re like the modern day globetrotters. Dude pretty much just stood there, didn’t even react when the ball hit his face.

These games are really entertaining and I agree with TBRK, AO is a really polished streetballer… if that makes sense.

Actually, Pat Da Rock got the same dude in another part of the video, so no, I don’t think it was scripted, I just think that guy’s garbage!

Maybe he was the dsignated “trick’ defender. haha.

don’t know what happened to the “e”

I wouldn’t quite call them the globetrotters. I just think it’s agreed that the teams won’t play a ton of defense to allow for the spectacular plays.

bouncing ball off someones head not too hard to pull off if in a pick up game if you’re sneaky.if you’ll notice in the video, professor looks away, until the defender looks away- then throws it off his head. a basic misdirection type of thing

on second view wtf is that guy thinking? why would he not react? what is he pointing at?

Man Streetball is just a joke sometimes. The only I respect in the whole thing are AO, Air Up There, and Sik wit it. All the rest are a bunch of bums. Plus AO needs to come to the league. Only one out of the bunch that can play pro.

I just watched a BallUp game on TV vs. “Matt Barnes Team” (creative, I know) and it was pathetic. I have been a huge And1 mixtape fan over the years and was sad to see the tour end, but this is a terrible attempt to bring it back.

The opposing team was the ultimate joke. One dude literally took 12 3′s in the first half and hit 3-4. All the other team did was clunk deep 3′s way out of their range, then lazily let BallUp throw the ball down court for a dunk. And the “Assassin” (one of Barnes’ better players) was a black hole, even though he was unintentionally putting fadeaways off the side of the board.

What happened to the real streetball and “crash the court” where the guys went to play games with some real ferocity and tension? Where SOME defense was actually played. Where there was a little pride in the game and not just a jerk-fest to put together a 2 minute highlight video to trick fans to showing up to this trash.

To top it all, most of the game was not announced by Duke Tango. Instead they had 2 guys calling the game that scarily reminded me of the guy who hosts NBATV and the douche that does the nba.com weekly Top 10 videos: annoying, over-the-top, try-to-hard-to-be-cool, extremely repetitive and Red-Bull-excited about everything.
