If none of the three dunks included on the video below excite you, we’re afraid Blake Griffin has spoiled you.

First….Man I knew Blake was going to be the man this year but I didn’t expect this, highlight after highlight….I hope he can stay healthy.

  • sounddust

Hope he continues to hone his jumpshot ‘cos the 1st dunk was straight out of NBA JAM! JAM! JAM!

  • ripslam

Maybe I’m spoiled, but only the third one really impressed me. The first probably didn’t take any effort for him.

  • derby

Great help D by the Cavs as usualy, the Gross

    that last dunk was beast

  • Lan

    Shake Shake da rim!

  • Jer dawg

Last dunk was crazy! That dribble drive usually results in reverse layups but he DUNKED it! Wow. 2nd dunk was all pro move; dribble, spin, pump fake, up and under and dunk. Great move.

If he stays healthy, (a BIG if) not even the sky is the limit for this kid. I’m talking greatest power forward of all time limits.

  • Ken

Beyond the dunks, I’m impressed how he set them up. On the first he realized he’d get 2 points for an open jumpshot, but when he realized the lane was open and he’d also get 2 points for (a much higher %) dunk, he went in for it. And the second was a great fake.

  • yourfavoritegirl

He is really impressive and if he keeps up the good work, could be a beast on the court

  • Joe

That 2nd dunk reminds me so much of Alonzo Mourning, and the way he used to beast dudes in the paint!

  • flipnoyce

Blake doing the post move and he’s only going to get better in time. He probably has a check list to do that he wants to incorporate in his game. Next on the list “THE FADEAWAY”. I hope he have a healthy and exciting career because this kid is fun to watch!

  • Shameless

3rd dunk was the only one that was especially impressive… still not sure how many people make any of those dunks

  • http://slamonline.com Fut.

Dwight Howard took 6 years to learn a punp-fa … oh wait. He still doesn’t have it.

  • 2KInsider

Blake had enough time to drive a KIA out to the court on that first dunk.

On the first play he was going to take that jump shot, but the centre… DeAndre Jordan waved him to come on down like the price is right…
    ——–
That spin move in the 2nd play was DEFINITELY based on skill and footwork. He didn’t have that in college.
    ——–
The third play was pure athleticism.
    ——–
I get the feeling that the commentators love calling games now for the other LA team.

blake griffin could never be the greatest pf of all time. At the end of the day he’s too small. He’s barely 6’10 with his shoes on (and i mean barely) and has a 6’8 wingspan. By comparison, dwade has a 6’9 wingspan and he’s only 6’4. 6’1 rajon rondo has a 6’10 wingspan. When his athletic ability starts to fade his game will fade with it. Tim Duncan and kevin Garnette have a better basketball body and that’s why they’re still good well into their 30s. Not to mention that blake’s jumper is ugly. Timmy’s may not be pretty but he’s much taller and longer

  • T-Money

I’m sooo tired of all the naysayers sayin that such and such won’t be good once his athletic abilities start to decline. 1) That’s in like 10 years. Chill. 2) MJ and Karl Malone ended up being among the best midrange shooters at their position and they came to the league with shaky jumpers. LeBron (even though lazy writers don’t want to look up the data shoots a better percentage from midrange than Melo, Pierce, Kobe and Durant). Players evolve. 3) Just appreciate greatness, damn.

Yes Chukaz, I always forget the HOF voting is based on wingspan, one the first things they look for infact.

  • flipnoyce

@comment 6:55, He might not make the greatest PF of all time but if he stays healthy and injury free he will become ONE OF the GREATEST of all time. This is his first ACTUAL year playing in the league and so far so good. With each passing season he will become better at every aspect of the game believe that.

  • http://slamonline.com Michael

He is great, but his team needs more W’s before we start making some seriously bold statements.

  • http://klatschendom.wordpress.com/ speedy

    Chukaz is drinking hatorade.
    Facts:
    -Wingspan to small (?????)
    -no good basketball body (?????)
    -ugly jumper (?????)

  • http://klatschendom.wordpress.com/ speedy

    Aknowledge Blake’s game chukaz.
I know that there are other great players in the league on Blake’s position and Blake has a long way to go to become one of the greatest.
But hey this guy has some serious talent and athleticism and as long as he stays healthy he will be great.

  • http://slamonline.com Ugh

Chukaz – Charles Barkley. Your argument is over.

  • sounddust

    ^Also, Wes Fuc*in’ Unseld.

Chukaz must be talking about endangered bird species.

  • Cizzo

He has a plethera of moves topped off with an arsenal of dunks.. This is only the beginning of what his overall game will be!

  • Sparker

awesome moving screen to set up that first one

  • jufu
