Incredible. Bonus points for the sweet post-dunk cabbage patch.

  • Desert Storm Posted: Mar.16 at 8:17 pm
    New poster

  • Shy Wilson Posted: Mar.16 at 8:18 pm
Will that poster be in the next SLAM?

  • BostonBaller Posted: Mar.16 at 8:19 pm
Real nice bang!! Unfortunately the lil’ dance was lame, it just shows that Wade isn’t really into the whole show ‘em up thing like a lot of players are.

  • Allenp Posted: Mar.16 at 8:23 pm
    Amazing.
    Cabbage patch not.included.

  • Payton Posted: Mar.16 at 8:23 pm
RT @PaytonSquared: @dwadeofficial Oh! Crap! Wade is saying “We going to Sizzlers” after that Dunk #WhiteMenCantJump #NBA

  • Cheryl Posted: Mar.16 at 8:26 pm
    Jumped off the couch!

  • GotHandles? Posted: Mar.16 at 8:45 pm
d wade is a bad bad man

  • JAMS Posted: Mar.16 at 8:50 pm
THAT IS THE PLAY OF THE YEAR!
    capitals neccesary, move over Blake.

  • Ugh Posted: Mar.16 at 8:56 pm
Is he singing “we gon’ to Sizzler’?

  • Mike Posted: Mar.16 at 9:55 pm
that dance made me respect Perkins

  • D12FSU Posted: Mar.16 at 9:57 pm
shouldnt really be dancing when your down 9

  • robb Posted: Mar.16 at 10:18 pm
    hehehe, you lost dancer.

  • Jimmer Fredette Posted: Mar.16 at 10:23 pm
perkins has no lift yet, wade wouldve been on his ass.

  • Diesel Posted: Mar.16 at 10:26 pm
Great dunk. Ruins the moment with the stupid dance when you’re down big. If I’m Perkins, I run to the Heat’s bench after the win and dance my little heart out.

  • JTaylor21 Posted: Mar.16 at 10:28 pm
The kind of dunk that make you wanna smack your mama.

  • flipnoyce Posted: Mar.16 at 10:30 pm
A`real nice dunk, would have been better if they would have won.

  • fruizm Posted: Mar.16 at 10:35 pm
i thought he was singing the “whoomp there it is!”

  • LA Huey Posted: Mar.16 at 10:46 pm
Where are the haters with their “Great plays should not be recognized if you don’t get the win” rhetoric when Blake Griffin does something amazing? All that hating is bad for your health, guys.

  • ripslam Posted: Mar.16 at 11:17 pm
Honestly not that great. Wade’s had better posters, and there have been nicer dunks this year too.

  • Kevin Posted: Mar.16 at 11:20 pm
LOL @ the cabbage patch, him and Lebron shouldv’e hit the kick-step afterwards

  • jay Posted: Mar.16 at 11:26 pm
    hollyy crap

  • Thart Posted: Mar.16 at 11:26 pm
He wasn’t dancing when the game was finished.

  • Diesel Posted: Mar.16 at 11:32 pm
@LA – if Blake danced after his dunks like an idiot while his team was getting whooped I’d make fun of him too.

  • Yep Posted: Mar.16 at 11:35 pm
while that was disgusting on wade’s part, i applaud perk for even putting himself in the way… he was coming over to cover serge ibaka’s terrible defense on the play… he knew he had no chance of blocking the shot, but tried to step in the way anyways to make some sort of play. much better than a lot of centers who might avoid getting posterized for pride’s sake.

  • rgcg Posted: Mar.16 at 11:37 pm
    i just crapped my pants

  • Jose Posted: Mar.16 at 11:38 pm
    DWYAAAAAAAANEEEEEEE WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADDDEEEEE!!!!

  • greg Posted: Mar.16 at 11:41 pm
this only happened because perk was in foul trouble if he had no fouls he would have just clobbered him and accepted the flagrant with grace. hes one of my fav players this decade

  • tealish Posted: Mar.16 at 11:59 pm
Great dunk by Wade. A true dunk-on dunk, over a Perk no less. Danced too early though.

  • tealish Posted: Mar.17 at 12:00 am
    And co-sign Yep.
If it was Amar’e in Perk’s place, he’s sprinting down towards the other end already.

  • paul Posted: Mar.17 at 12:08 am
Great defense by Perkins, trying to cover for two other defenders failure, and letting Wade know that it isn’t going to be easy tonight.

  • Darksaber Posted: Mar.17 at 12:23 am
Kadeem does not approve this dance.

  • Enigmatic Posted: Mar.17 at 12:33 am
    Meh.
To me the highlight of the game was Wade getting in that refs face.
    Yet again.
Besides His teammate LeBron, is there anyone else in the NBA who treats the refs like sh*t more than Wade?

  • Krisjanis Posted: Mar.17 at 12:39 am
First that crying, now this gay dancing. what’s wrong with them?

  • Howiej23 Posted: Mar.17 at 12:40 am
that was sick, wicked, and nasty… too bad they lost though

  • Brahsef Posted: Mar.17 at 1:04 am
That is a cram. Smh at anyone not impressed by that.

  • horsey Posted: Mar.17 at 3:47 am
betting against the Heat on the money lines is more than paying my rent this month. they’re 3-5 and were favored to win all 8 of their games by at least 2. i’d love to see them dance their way to mediocrity. good dunk though.

  • Olafoa Posted: Mar.17 at 4:13 am
Great Dunk, Lame dance. <3 Wade but the dance was too early lol.

  • Big Country Posted: Mar.17 at 4:14 am
please put this in slam of the month! side profile it with dwyane wade at his highest point right before he crams it with it 2 hands

  • AT33 Posted: Mar.17 at 4:33 am
    DWizzle!!! #WOW

  • Yesse Posted: Mar.17 at 4:58 am
I think Perkins should have waited a bit before coming back.

  • Mike From Spain Posted: Mar.17 at 4:58 am
These are the perks Wade gets in his job…

  • Michael NZ Posted: Mar.17 at 5:44 am
Eff’n awesome. Best bit was Mike Tirico choking with amazement then switching his mic off as he starts coughing.

  • KwamePooh Posted: Mar.17 at 7:45 am
    2k11…

  • Royal Posted: Mar.17 at 8:20 am
Okay I understand that he lost, Perk has not re-gained his lift, and it was only worth three points (he was fouled), but he sh!t3d on Perkins…no way to downplay that ,his second best dunk IMO

  • bill breedley Posted: Mar.17 at 8:28 am
one of the best dunks of the year. the post dunk celebration was a tad gay though.

  • rik Posted: Mar.17 at 8:30 am
    Wow… that was CRAZY!

  • dfrance21 Posted: Mar.17 at 9:43 am
The cabbage patch was horrible but the dunk was awesome. Why can’t people just appreciate the dunk and not worry about time and score or who one the game? Comment on the dunk! LA Huey is right, I bet half of the dunks if not more that are posted for Blake came in losses and no one says, “it woulda been nicer if they won.” Save it.

  • A. Posted: Mar.17 at 9:55 am
    @Enigmatic: That dude in LA.

  • big_ticket Posted: Mar.17 at 10:10 am
    slamadamonth please slam….

  • Allenp Posted: Mar.17 at 10:12 am
    co-sign A.
Kobe is just as bad as Wade, LeBron is more respectful than both of them, but he does whine.
Wade and Kobe talk to refs like they are dogs. Like Jordan used to do.

  • T-Money Posted: Mar.17 at 10:14 am
The cabbage patch was an hommage to the fab 5 and his teammate Juwan Howard. The negativity in this board is ridiculous sometimes.

  • RobbieJay Posted: Mar.17 at 10:24 am
when he did that dance in his mind it was like “go wadee go wadeee go wadee go wadee”

  • Diesel Posted: Mar.17 at 10:26 am
So you’re a hater if you think you should save the dancing until you’re actually winning? I don’t care if it was in hommage to JC himself…you look like an idiot when your team is down 11 and you’re celebrating one play with a dance. You look even dumber when 20 min later your slapping and kicking the backstop of the hoop because you didn’t get a call. This was supposed to be the season that they played angry, no more nonsense. All that shows me is Dwade cares more about his own accomplishments and looking good more than he does about winning.

  • orl.chris Posted: Mar.17 at 10:29 am
mama there goes that man again

  • Sizzle Posted: Mar.17 at 10:46 am
@ Diesel – you are looking way to far into a tiny moment during the game. They are players and are human beings like you and I. They have emmotions and occasionally react. I don’t think Dwade did the dance thinking I am down by 9 or whatever it was. He was just celebrating a spectactular play in that moment. The same goes for the “pouting” incident. While he does complain alot, no one would say anything about that if they won. Too many people on here are looking way too far into a 6 second dance after an incredible play. Look at Blake Griffin, he has 2-3 highlights per game and his team nearly always loses. Yet we have a “Blake Griffin Alert” on sportscenter. He often stares down defenders after dunking on them (a different form of emmotion)…Just saying…People look WAY WAY to far into things, especially with the heat….

  • Diesel Posted: Mar.17 at 10:52 am
Blake does not break down into the Tootsie Roll after his dunks. I have no problem with DWade staring Perk down and letting him know “I got you”, but doing a full blown dance is dumb. And I know they’re human beings, but name me another high caliber player that would dance in that situation other than DWade or Lebron.

  • dev0 Posted: Mar.17 at 10:58 am
    he should have been tough

  • Eboy Posted: Mar.17 at 11:02 am
Does the “Big Balls Dance” constitute dancing? ‘Cause if it does, Kobe Bean Bryant has been known to pull that out from time to time. Shaq danced/has danced his entire career. That’s two of the ten greatest players of all time. Should I got to the next tier of talent or stop there?

  • Sizzle Posted: Mar.17 at 11:18 am
@ Diesel – So more or less what your saying is, your OK with an emotional reaction, as long as it is not dancing? Staring is alright (even if you are down)? I can’t name another athelete dancing. But what about behaviors like Garnett barking like a dog, Shaq when he did his “stampede” like stepping down the court after a big dunk, Mutombo waving the finger after a big block, Antoine Walker doing the shimmy after a made three, Ray Allen grinning to the TNT announcers after burying a three against the Heat, Reggie doing the choke sign to Spike Lee, Carmelo laughing after a made jumper or a hard foul from a defendant. When you break all of these down they are all some type of emotional display. The point I am trying to illustrate is each player reacts in different ways. He dunked, it was a dance, I don’t see that big of an issue with it. You can’t say its fine in one instance but not in the other.

  • Sizzle Posted: Mar.17 at 11:19 am
*defender…sorry sometimes my work interferes with my typing…

  • jufu Posted: Mar.17 at 11:29 am
i sense the shades of varejao…

  • SchW Posted: Mar.17 at 11:58 am
The dance so stupid it ruins the whole dunk… Man cant dance

  • bbubbs Posted: Mar.17 at 12:03 pm
YO, IF ANY OF Y’ALL WHO CAN DUNK CAUGHT ONE LIKE THAT ON A DEFENDER LIKE PERK, Y’ALL WOULD BE ACTING ALL CRAZY TOO. STOP HATIN’.
Big dunk, Biiiiiiigg! Comin off the spin! whaaaaam!
About near the end of the dance, look at DWade’s face, he knew he shouldnt be doing that silly sh@t

  • Jam on it Posted: Mar.17 at 12:28 pm
He really destroyed Ibaka with that spin move – the dunk was on Perk but I was mored impressed with the move that put him in position to dunk than the dunk itself.

  • Pharoah Posted: Mar.17 at 12:43 pm
    Absolutely FILTHY

  • Heals Posted: Mar.17 at 1:00 pm
Destroys, huh? Nice dance Dwayne, the only destruction was KD hittin J’s wherever he wanted all over LBJ, final score…

  • Diesel Posted: Mar.17 at 1:10 pm
@sizzle – I couldn’t hate a player more than I hate KG and I’ve made fun of him and his antics for a long time. Again – I’m all for a small reaction to recognize the play…but DWade pushed his own players out of the way, ran across the court, and twirled in circles while doing the cabbage patch…that’s a little much at any point. Especially when you’re losing the game. @Eboy – Kobe did the balls thing when hitting a shot to put his team up…not when down double digits. Same for Shaq. I stand by my statement that no other high caliber player would dance like then when losing a game by that much.

  • Wayne Posted: Mar.17 at 1:22 pm
If you get dunked on like that where I’m from, you don’t get to play anymore. You pack up whatever gear you came with and go home and think about how you let that happen on the way.

  • tealish Posted: Mar.17 at 1:27 pm
Yes, Kobe can be a clown too. But I highly doubt he dances down 11 in the first half. Show me video otherwise, and I’ll gladly apologize.

  • Allenp Posted: Mar.17 at 2:13 pm
The dancing was stupid. I thought it was showboating at the worst time, just like McGee the other night.
But the dunk was stupendous. Great play.

  • Brion Posted: Mar.17 at 2:46 pm
Who cares if a player is having fun. Really? And why does anything a good player do end up somehow being a Kobe comparison. This sites getting old with the negative dudes on here.

  • Stephon Posted: Mar.17 at 2:47 pm
    SWAG!

  • Sizzle Posted: Mar.17 at 3:31 pm
Would be a moot point if the Heat Won. His dancing would have been praised regardless of them being down by Eleven. I still think if Blake did this no one would have a problem with it…

  • giogolo Posted: Mar.17 at 5:18 pm
WHen you feel good you don’t try to supress it. It’s unnatural. But then again comments section are just for opinions. =) we’re not the ones doing the “stuffing” out there on d court. damn i ahte my life.. hehe

  • Michael Posted: Mar.17 at 5:22 pm
Crazy dunk…just so good. The dance was a bit lame.

  • dfortruth Posted: Mar.17 at 6:44 pm
I thought Wade and Bron, thought they were playing in the All Star game again last night. They were so busy making highlights, that they end up losing the game.

  • Ryan Jones Posted: Mar.17 at 6:59 pm
Hey Tealish: Tyler Hansbrough would like a word with you.

  • Enigmatic Posted: Mar.17 at 7:01 pm
Apparently the dance was a tribute to the Fab Five and more specifically, his teammate Juwan Howard.

  • greg Posted: Mar.17 at 7:17 pm
why does anyone give a rats ass about his dance? i dont think scott brooks was in the timeout thinking, “guys we gotta come up with a better dance because wow d wade was incredible” gtfo here at least talk about how the thunder slapped the heat not some dance. go watch “so you think you can dance” and leave the hoops to the real fans

  • Kadavour Posted: Mar.17 at 7:27 pm
dunk of the year. he/she whoever cites that blake griffin “throw in” layup deserves to be smacked. end.

  • Anton Posted: Mar.17 at 7:44 pm
I love how he shoves Joel out of the way after.

  • blakos Posted: Mar.17 at 7:53 pm
    @Diesel – way to overeact.

  • Will Lee Posted: Mar.17 at 11:09 pm
I sometimes wonder if the big 3 are more interested in doing highlight celebration than winning celebration

  • JL Posted: Mar.18 at 2:04 am
wade still the best in your face dunker!

  • Eldon Khorshidi Posted: Mar.18 at 9:55 am
I feel like Wade does this dunk every year

  • flash Posted: Mar.18 at 11:33 am
he did it last year on varejao and lost that game too…

  • Yes.We.Did. Posted: Mar.21 at 7:29 am
