Video: Shabazz Muhammad – Lefty Has Major Game

Be prepared to be talking about a dude named Shabazz a lot in the future. The 6-6 Shabazz Muhammad out of Las Vegas, NV is the top-ranked SG in the Class of 2012 and arguably the top player overall. The southpaw averaged 25.1 points in ’10-11 and has range all the way to the three-point. He’s being courted by most of the nation’s top programs including Duke, North Carolina, Texas and Kentucky.

played against bishop gorman in the LSI and we came back within 2 only to have this guy hit cold blooded 3s to put it away

Great skill set – love that one handed floater.

But did he do ANYTHING in that whole video with his right hand? I mean, even take a dribble?….

thats stupid. if he was right handed you wouldn’t be asking if he did anything with his left hand

thats dumb. if he was right handed you wouldn’t be asking if he did anything with his left hand.

@airs – fair point, but on most highlight videos, you at least a little variation, but everything was coming from his left hand and / coming down the left sideline, not even the middle.

Mind you, could just be selective picks of his best bits (which would naturally be from the left if he’s a leftie)

Like I said, though – kids got a game. that stop and pop floater looks deadly.

I guess you didn’t see the right hand jump hook on the baseline. In the Findley game they forced and gave him the right side and he still gave them 32 points and 13 rebounds.

ayo… I don’t even want to think about Shabazz Muhammad going to Duke…. scary.

If there’s an NBA lockout, just imagine Duke’s lineup:

Kyrie Irving, Austin Rivers, Seth Curry, Michael Gbinije, Josh Hairston, MP3…
with Tyler Thornton, Andre Dawkins, Quinn Cook, Plumlee Brothers off the bench????
Imagine if Duke landed DeAndre Daniels for 2011?

If you added Shabazz Muhammad… for 2012:

Quinn Cook, Shabazz Muhammad, Andre Dawkins, Michael Gbinije, Alex Murphy
with Rasheed Sulaimon, Josh Hairston, MP3, etc.

Coach K is on fire…. Depth.
I’d pay to go see their scrimmages with the amount of talent and athleticism recruited.

Word is that Louisville or Kentucky may be pursuing Shabazz hard.
I thought UNC-Chapel Hill was high on Bazz but they just picked up JP Tokoto.

Bazz has good finishing moves around the basket and has handles to play his game above the rim. Solid leftys are a rare breed of ballers.

Keep doing your thing young bull… lehhhgo.
