Video: LeBron James Takes Over at Crunch Time in Game 5

Who said The King wasn’t clutch?

Fittingly, to at last take down Boston, LeBron James completely dominated the final minutes of Game 5 for the Miami Heat last night:

  • JTaylor21

I guess GM5 vs DET, GM5 vs ORL, GM3 vs ATL, GM1 vs BOS and GM7 vs BOS never happened, huh?
Shoutout to all those people suffering through a selective case of amnesia.

  • truth

Props to Lebron & The Heat. Is it just me or did he travel before that dunk ha ha..lobster dribble.

  • Groves

  • Truth

8 years, 1 nba final. he hit 2 3′s big deal. He aint done anything yet. Chicago is gonna give them a tough challenge. If not the thuder or the scorching mavs will get em

JT, make sure you get this game down next to those stats chiseled on the plaque in front of your LBJ monument.
    jus playin, man.

  • JTaylor21

The same way you have DRose’s numerous big games in the playoffs on a plaque, oh wait……..

I’ll admit, in my opinion, I think LeBron has surpassed Kobe as the best player this year.
I couldn’t give that title to Bron as long as Kobe was winning actual titles, but now, Kobe’s mystique is losing its luster and LeBron is that dude.

  • robb

Lebron finally became a man during this series. There was no dancing, no laughing, no stupid sh*t. He went straight to work and he played like the best player in the world during the 4th quarter, he was 100% clutch.

  • kudos

Lebron still hasn’t won a chip. Chicago owns the Heat in the regular season due to matchups, but this isn’t even the conf. finals and Lebron is already apologizing to Cleveland. He’s gotta wait til at least the finals. It’s bouta become a hard reality-

Good job, LeBron. I was waiting for this, and it couldn’t have been scripted any better. I was always amazed at how this team couldn’t close, and now they can. Congratulations, Miami Heat. This team is dangerous.

The hate will always reign supreme. LeBron doesn’t have to hit game winning shots. His forte should be taking over when the game with 2 minutes left. Thats the killer instinct!

  • http://slamonline.com Michael

Every hater better show up on these boards when the Heat beat the Bulls.

  • Tyrant56

@kudos regular season, these playoffs as u’ve seen r completly different n i thunk 3 or 2 is greater than 1

  • OvaChicken

Taking care of business. That what that was. The cool thing here is HE MAKES IT LOOK EASY. & if he can do that against Boston . Imagine what theyl do with the Bulls. MINCE MEAT anyone. Theyl have to change their name to Chicago Sloppy Joes. :-)

  • OvaChicken

    Craw fishy , fishy . u there ?

  • http://www.eman.com Englishman

Lebron is good because is is confident, look at his game:
. Horrible footwotk, he travels every other play eg the dunk in this clip
. No consistent jump shot, wouldnt even go as far as calling him a streaky shooter
. Almost everything he does is because he has bumped or overpowered his defender (no finesse)
. His over all game is ugly
. He carries the ball every other play.

Lets be honest this is one of very few games that he has managed to close out this season. The ball should be in dwades hands more and in the crunch as he is proven and can create better off the dribble. Lebron has alot to improve on before you can put him in the same sentence as Kobe, yeah his stats are great but its how he gets them that bugs me. You think if he had kobe or dwades body he would even have made the D-league……no chance. Yes he is good just not great.

  • Trout

I thought he made it o the finals against the spurs and lost or was that another Lebron. I still don’t like the way he left Cleveland and he as much said that he made a mistake during that period but I have to say the heat look good and dare I say Heat vs Dallas finals?

  • http://www.nba.com/celtics Byebye

Englishman look at the game dwade was giving him the ball
U don’t watch enuff heat games to talk about anything that’s what they been doing since the 17 th game of the season they dominate until they attract the defense an then the other takes over it’s working if a third person is making plays also

  • The Beetle

    Englishman is right!

  • BostonBaller

I’ve always said LBJ was a beast and when he hit MIA I said he would be in Beast mode more often w/ teams having to focus on Wade (and Bosh to a lesser degree). Therefore the playoffs haven’t been a surprise even though I thought we had a legit chance ourselves. It’s easier to be a Beast when it’s a two headed beast. No hating here, I love this game and will watch every game of the playoffs (not caring who wins but wanting every game to go into OT and every series a 7 gamer!

LeBron IS a monster, no doubt. But it’s gonna take more than a couple of relatively easy threes and a steal and fastbreak dunk to change my opinion of whether or not he’s clutch. Which he’s not.
